Great chapter! I was wondering when we are going to see Renaud and Josette again and their new baby, I want to know what happened with them.

I don't know why you think this chapter is lackluster! There was a lot to like in it, although my favorite moment was easily Gaston falling off the roof (I wouldn't have minded seeing him fall down a few more times, but I won't be greedy). And I love that the triplets think their mom is nuts - if I didn't know what she was up to, I'd probably agree with them.

Ha! I admit, I didn't make the connection with "She's gorgeous and I fell" until another reviewer pointed it out. That's clever! I was thinking of it more as foreshadowing: Gaston's obsession with Belle causes him to fall off a roof.

I have to give Gaston a bit of credit here: in his first meeting with her, even though he just kept saying how beautiful she was, at least he was complimenting HER, rather than bragging about himself and what a great catch he was.

In the dinner scene with Ariana and the triplets, when Belle said "a man asked me to marry him and I said I would," I expected the triplets to assume she meant Gaston. I mean, he DID tell them that Belle was the girl he would marry, so it would seem an obvious conclusion. Then when Belle said the man had violet eyes, they could've been like "Violet eyes? Not blue?" and been super-relieved.

I was amused at Ariana grilling Belle and Maurice for details so she can plot how to send Belle to the castle. She's so blatant, LOL.

Yes! No we are getting to the main story! I love Ariana, how she managed to plan everything out just so. I would love to be her since I'm constantly organising things for others. Anyway, keep up the amazing work and I look forward to the next chapter very much so as always.

I know I've probably said something along these longs before but will Adam's father and his new wife (I forgot their names) get some sort of karmedic payback?

I understand they were in love and all, but it was still wrong. Adam's mother commits suicide because the rest of the world didn't give a damn about her suffering and I think it's wrong that all Adam's father doesn't seem to care either.

I love it, good for Belle saying no to Aline it just would not have been right. And ooohhhh they are on the way to the village and then it will all start to begin! And awww Lumiere always so romantic and sweet, a family ring very touching. Though Im a little confused by the meaning behind it, was it a promise ring? Engagement ring or just a Im sorry ring? And I love how you append it up for " I have been burned by you before" scene. Hope to read from you soon! Keep up the wonderful story telling and wrighting.

This was a really good chapter! Belle's realization that handsome Alain was kind of a jerk, and that she didn't want to be with someone who tries to change who she is, was very believable and really sets up her reaction to Gaston later on. Really great characterization!

The Lumiere/Babette scene was very cute and sweet!

I finally have a good (sort of) reason to hate him! I know this is how guys in general act, or at least most of them, but damn, it's so superficial... I was so proud of Belle when she decided to stop and realized she was not ready for it. Well, it's natural after what happened in the alley, but still, good for her. He just wasn't the one for her.

Don't take me wrong, you made him a good and real character, like every other guy with a little bit of jerk on him. Me hating Alain has nothing to do with your awesome skills xD

I'm so glad Belle acepted going to out of town in good terms, and I love the little bit of growing in her when she and Maurice had that heart-to-heart talk about what real love is. And thank god for that, otherwise Belle could have been interested in Gaston!

This chapter was great as usual, can't wait for the next one. Also, thanks for making it longer, hope you're not having dificulties with it.
