You've got a way with words, you know that? Brilliant story!

"You make all the poems work" is an exquisite alternative to 'all the songs make sense'. And this was just absolutely wonderful, made me heart all warm and fuzzy to read. It was really beautiful, such a lovely moment in their lives. And it is funny, because these days I enjoy the angst filled, torn apart stories more than them being in a relationship, but this just touched my heart deeply! It was really, really sweet! You did a great job writing it!

He's always floored by the softness of her in the morning, the way her briskness and clipped voice melt, leaving her limp and warm and gentle and vulnerable. - Annnnnnd you are a gorgeous writer. Amazing description of her.

"I am never without it," he whispers into her ear, brushing her hair back carefully. Her eyelids flutter. "Anywhere I go you go, my dear." - So basically I'm dead before I've really begun. Awesome.

"You say things well, too." She runs her fingers over his shoulder, traces feather-light circles on his skin. He catches his breath. She's playful in the morning. "You use pretty words." - Is it too soon to propose marriage to you? Probably. I love this. How comfortable this all is. It makes me wanna cry but fat ugly awesome tears.

"You're beautiful on your worst day," he whispers, kissing her eyelids as they flutter shut beneath him. He can feel the pulse flickering under her skin. "You are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." - Dead. I love her response too.

"Well then. It's a good thing Dante made hell a lake of ice." - LOVE. And his response because she does surprise him with just how smart she is about EVERYTHING on a daily basis.

She pants, her eyes full of light and teasing as she traces the line of his jaw. "More than just a pretty face, Castle. I like to think I have a brain too." - So perfectly Kate Beckett.

He brushes her hair back from her face, leans to kiss the soft red mouth he loves so much. "You make all the poems work."

She smiles. Loving. Beloved. "I love you too." - This is GENIUS.

BRB. Crying over how perfect you are. More to come.

Love it how he woke her up, love all this lazy morning talking and kissing and being in love and then just start playing because it's what they do wonderfully.

oh, goodness, reading poetry and quoting literature in the morning? turning 'all the songs make sense' into 'all the poems make sense'? this is too cute. i was never the fine literature type in school, but your story makes me realize why people devote their time to studying poetry... how much you say in so few words! your stories are like poetry.
