Android everywhere? Mh... why not? (It's better than humanization, and besides,) it makes sense that at least the two autos have a more versatile body to still be of use on land.
The character development is much more than decent and it doesn't hurt to get to read something focused on Auto. I bet that ship must have seen much through the years and generations of captains. I love the physical (and thus ideological?) differences between the different ships human passengers. Now confronting them may sure cause interesting reactions... :]
