This is BRILLIANT! I'm so in love with the books, always sad that Dumas skipped 20 years... But really, this fic is amazing, a hurt D'Artagnan, a brooding Athos, blatant Porthos and D'Artagnan father! Loved the angst and the lightness at the same time. Thank you so much for writing this!

Very nice story, I like Athos beeing uncertain and a little lost. I think that his love to dArtagnan - like as if he was his son - could have made him jealous about his real father. He is too great gentleman to show that and would, like you describe it, go to taverns. As Raoul later, d'Artagnan was certainly one of the reasons for him to believe in life.

Athos angst is never tiring but jealous Athos is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better ).
