| Sinceslicedbread 6/13/13 . chapter 40
Well what can I say?
I can't believe this tale is over. I have enjoyed your excellent storytelling immensely.
You were able to breathe continued life into Aaron and Jackson and make me want to share all their joys and sorrows.
A&J's supporting cast were solid and reliable and the creation of Kalum Walsh was a sheer joy.
On another note, please remember that age has nothing to do with writing talent. Youthful zeal and emotional maturity can be expressed by anyone at any age.
Finally, "You've made me an adult" Aaron said of Jackson, well you've made me a fan.
'Til next time x.

Summer of 69. Well I never I completely missed that too. I've led a very sheltered life it seems.
| Sinceslicedbread 6/13/13 . chapter 38
"I'm not sad as such; I'm just a bit unsettled. I know we never really got on but all the same, I don't think I ever in all seriousness wished him dead."
I second that emotion.
| Sinceslicedbread 6/11/13 . chapter 37
"How have they changed anything?...You don't seem all that different."
What! Have you not been listening Gordon!
Don't make me come down there and pin your ears back. Pay attention numbnut.
To paraphrase "you can't choose your family, thank God you can choose your lovers and friends." You're better off without him Aaron.

Sorry I've been away snowed under elsewhere, but I'm happy to be home now.
You had me at "My Aaron" I was complete mush from there on in.
I love your portrayal of A&J's relationship. They have matured so much and their love has deepened along with this maturity.
Gordon Livesy reappears - no good can come of it.
Mark my words x.

Well you had me with tears straight away, with that song & thinking of everything they have been thro & they are still together, such a perfect song choice & one i've always loved but will love a little more now :)
I loved all of this chapter, so sorry if this will be long, i'll try to just mention my fav fav parts lol :)
I loved the beginning with Aaron being worried about his weight & Jackson reassuring him, in his sarcasticly funny way, also love that it lead to Jackson giving Aaron a massage hoe much Aaron loved that massage lol ;).
Loved that Rebecca came with those those baby pics of Kalum & Aaron getting emotional looking at them is understandable, especially with the last pic of Kalum standing, I love that the boys have those baby pics of Kalum & that they know a bit about Kalum's mum to tell him about her when he asks. Love the meaning to Kalum's name to.
Aw Kalum giving Aaron a hug because Jackson told him to give him an extra hug if he looked sad, was so sweet. Then Kalum asking about his mum & then saying that he knew his mum loves him as she sent 'you & Daddy to me', & then Aaron saying he thinks it was Kalum that was sent to them, that had me with tears again, such a lovely moment.
Aw Aaron&Jackson running to & hugging each other at the airport was just so sweet & romantic, Jackson's thoughts while Aaron slept & then both their words of love to each other, once again had me with tears, the words of love were so beautiful , I can't even pick a fav part as all of the words were just beautiful. Their little outing around Dublin was funny & lovely to, loved them putting their own lock on the Ha'penny Bridge & clicking it locked together, also you just know, no matter what their love will be forever :), so glad they were together for their anniversary :).
Aw little Kalum wanting to give his Dad & Daddy their Father's Day cards was sweet & his attempt to make the breakfast was funny, then all of them tickling each other & giggling together in bed was such a lovely & sweet family moment, & their family day out & the ending words were lovely :).
I'm one of the ones that would love to see Kalum as he gets older, so if you do get ideas & do decide to write one offs, then I for one will for sure be reading them :).
Also you do deserve all the good & lovely reviews you have had for this story & all your other ones, as you truly are a wonderful writer & one of my favs on here :). I love that you have always shown how much Jackson&Aaron love each other & no matter what, through all the horrible things that have happened to them, they have always had each other & gotten through them together. I also love that brought the adorable Kalum, who you just can't help but fall in love with, into their lives to :).
Once again thank you so much for such a lovely story :)x

Loved every word thank you for finishing it and leave us with an ending but some Kay stories would be lovely
| Chicky Babes 4/15/13 . chapter 40
Lovely long last chapter but not the end, I'm thinking you've left enough open for a few one shots - should you feel like writing them I'd certainly read them
I can't believe from a few suggestions you have produced a substantially great piece of writing you should be proud of it and yourself

May not have reviewed every time but have read and enjoyed every update on this fic..it's truly been a pleasure to read. Thanks so much for taking the time to write :)
| Emmatopia 4/15/13 . chapter 40
So sad there won't be any more chapters. It's such a great story and it's been a pleasure to read. This is one of my favorite stories. It's so happy and most time; drama free which makes me smile.
Kalum really is a sweet boy. I would love to read some from when Kalum is a bit older. Like in his teens. And I would love to know how things are between Aaron and Jackson of course. The padlocks are a really amazing tradition. Especially as they can be seen on bridges all over the world. Love is really all around.
I've loved reading this story.
Thank you for writing it!
| Shawnyola 4/14/13 . chapter 40
Aww, Sarah... not the last chapter of this utterly beautiful story?! How could you? ;-) Bless you for your nice words at the beginning, thanking us, though we should all be thanking you for writing this superb story, I shall miss it very much! And not deserving the praise you've received? Oh please, you're too modest! I'm sure you'll go on to great things with this talent of yours! Anyway, enough now! Story time! I liked the choice of song: 'You're Still The One' - very appropiate for Aaron, such lovely and fitting words and when I next hear that song, I'm sure I'll think of this story.
A very long chapter so I'll pick out just some of the things that stood out for me, otherwise I'll be here typing this till Christmas! Haha, bless Aaron thinking he was overweight! As if! I loved how Jackson answered Aaron's question with his trademark sarcasm and how this somehow led Jackson to give his partner a massage! Lucky boy! Great banter here and you couldn't blame Aaron for not wanting Jackson to stop!
It was sad that Jackson had to go away for such a while to work but it was too good an offer to turn down and I'm glad Aaron told Jay to go for it even though it was the last thing that he wanted, knowing how much he'd miss him and their anniversary too. Twelve years though? Wow!
I liked the appearance of Rebecca and how thoughtful she was by giving Aaron the photos of Kalum when he was younger and when his mum was still alive; a lovely gesture and I loved how transfixed Aaron was and his expression at that last photo of a standing Kay. It was sweet that he took after his mum in so many ways and it was nice to hear Aaron ask Rebecca about her. I liked the meaning behind the name Kalum too.
"Daddy told me to give you an extra hug from him if you look sad." Aww, little Kay's so sweet and I loved how Aaron looked at him, seeing how far the lad had come under their care. I liked his words about making the father's day cards too and what he'd said in reply to young White-Bowne made me smile. Asking about his mum was lovely and he was too cute when he said: "If your mummy or daddy dies God lets them send you new ones? Like the way you got Paddy when your daddy went away?" Aww, I'm going to miss this little lad.
Hazel and Chas' early anniversary present of a plane ticket so Aaron could join Jackson in Ireland was so sweet and it clearly made Aaron's day! And Jackson's too when Aaron turned up to surprise him! I liked Jackson's thoughts of his husband as they lie in bed together, thinking back to 'their first time' and Jackson's 'present' to Aaron, his words of love were just beautiful, especially: "Twelve years down the line and ten years married and you're still everything to me; my best friend, my husband, my little boys' dad and also my rock, my guardian angel and my soulmate. I'm so grateful for those past twelve years and I only hope you're game for putting up with me for another twelve." Aaron's words in response were lovely too, especially: "So if it's ok with you, how about we forget another twelve years and go for, I dunno, thirty? Forty?" Loved that.
A nice little insight into Ireland with talk of the luas and 'shifts' and I loved Jackson describing how he was chatted up by a girl asking for the latter and his thought: "No harm to the poor girl, but as Adam would say if I had a bag of cocks I wouldn't give her one." Ha! The Ha'penny Bridge? Aww, I adored that sentiment! Locking a padlock to the railings as a sign of never ending commitment and I'm glad Aaron didn't think it was soppy and happily went along with it and his 'Aaron and Jackson, 2010-forever' inscription was so sweet! I loved Jackson's reaction too!
Just such a lovely closing scene. Kalum waking his dad up, giving his dads their father's day cards and even attempting to make them breakfast - raw eggs! Yum! Their pillow fight/tickle session was adorable and spending the day at the beech and eating chips - perfect! Apart from Jackson getting wet thanks to Koda! 'The three of them were after all a family who had both individually and together gone many miles. And they couldn't wait for the next one.' Amen to that, Family Walsh indeed!
Aww, that was such a lovely, fitting end to the story, Sarah and for that, I'm sure we can loan you Danny Miller! ;-) Thank you so much for this wonderful story, it's been gripping and dramatic and downright lovely and adorable and most of all, I've absolutely loved it! Thanks again :-) xxx

What a lovely, final chapter. Thank you for all your work and time.
Rebecca's visit was a great idea; it brought closure from her part. And Aaron and Jackson would likely cherish the pictures.
Again, the scene with Kalum and Aaron was so touching. You write those scenes so well. The idea of his dads having been sent to him by his mum was very interesting. Aaron's reply was very beautiful - him having been sent to them. I liked that a lot.
I very much enjoyed Aaron's visit in Dublin, and you certainly entertained us with the local expressions and customs - the Ha'penny bridge was a great idea. And we'll follow your advice and stay away from the Luas and the free shifts!
Again, THANK YOU so much for this great story. You have plenty of talent and great ideas. By the way, I had taken you seriously based on your writing right from the beginning. I only learned much later about your age. Your writing shows a lot of maturity. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Good luck and I hope to read more from you at some point.
| ajfankeith 4/14/13 . chapter 40
Oh Sarah, I read the whole chapter with a smile on my face.
This made me laugh:
"Aaron couldn't help but smile at his choice of phrase "Was she good-looking at least?" he teased
Jackson sighed "No harm to the poor girl, but as Adam would say if I had a bag of cocks I wouldn't give her one."
But, it is difficult to pick a 'favourite' bit. The whole thing was just so lovely.
By the way, you can't have Danny in Ireland! He belongs in England and we won't let him go...so there! Ha ha!
Thank you for all your hard work on this story. x
| Guest 4/1/13 . chapter 39
I think I forgot to review chp 38, sorry. I thought it was a great chp, it's so good that Kalum has such great mates at school and how they all stuck together was brilliant. I'm glad Jackson got to the bottom of what really happened too.
As for chp 39, I love the domestic fluff! Kalum is 7 already, doesn't time fly?! The dog is a great idea and I'm pleased K's going to look into sports too. Adam and Carla sound like a good match. I just love how you write A & J and their relationship, it's v special. I'm so sad that the story will b drawing to a close, I've loved every chapter. I hope we get a few little one off updates as K grows up, maybe, please, pretty please?! Thank you for this story, Nicster
