it kinda feels awkward now cause i just finish reading this pairing in uke flu with Yuu starting to spill his story...this is almost like the timeline is messed up and i'm reading back to the start of their romantic journey XD

Another chapter filling in the pieces of Hisashi's troubled past. I have great empathy for him and know too well the feeling of freezing and the "blank face." He was so fortunate to have Atsushi and a safe place. Like Yuu, I smiled to imagine Hisashi ensconced there.

The bit of Renaka's history was welcome as well and explains why she's so wonderfully different. Again, both Atsushi and Hisashi were lucky to have her. I am also delighted with knowing "Steve's" origins.

And the humorous ending with Renaka's assistants... that woman has her hands full and then some.

Here I am again. I think I shall work backwards through my inbox until I am all caught up, though with how productive you are, even in a slightly slower pace, I don't know that I'll ever get caught back up. So far behind... *shakes head in dismay*

Again, I am enjoying going back and re-living these past chapters. I don't often re-read things so this is a treat.

I love how, even though he is gone you still give Atsushi presence in your Artistica fics. He is a true character, even in his absence, and a significant one. Your allowing us into his room, while humorous is also very bittersweet. He is such an original, an eccentric, a fanboy... It's no wonder that he meant so much to Hisashi. And it makes me feel sad that even in this fictional world he's gone as the world needs far more people like Atsushi in it.

Hisashi and Yuu sharing this moment carries just as much if not more power than that of the shrine. It is touching that Hisashi is allowing Yuu into his world in this way. Likewise that Yuu is allowing Hisashi to share with him and takes it in without the "seme jealousy" that characterizes so many yaoi stories. It speaks of the quality of their partnership.

There's also a lot here that rounds out Hisashi and explains him more fully... his own room at his foster mother's home... being home schooled... attending college online. These offer explanations for his shyness and his being so adorably socially awkward. I also like his admission that he is not a dedicated student. It is a nice break from the driven Japanese stereotype.

The tender quiet at the end was a great way to finish this chapter. the note about the necklace brings the story nicely back to the earlier events of "Always" while keeping it here in "Forever" too. I like the history you're building here.

Okay, now I have to go get ready for work... Meh. At least I have my catch up to look forward too!
