Love your story idea. I think that having that option of mermaids being protected instead of studied is very original! Maybe they encounter someone who dislikes the idea of mermaids living among them and the person tries to make mermaids look bad so they would be treated like creatures again. (You could decide the rest) also keep updating whenever you can,no matter how long it will be until u do people will always read it.

I love it all of it then the Nate part ,but I really want the update to be sooner I love it so much UPDATE SOON please I love it though I don't mind waiting for a super story though.
