I can't tell you how absolutely beautiful and just moving I found this story. It gives me shivers. Not even that it has to do with Korra or Mako, characters I already love, if it was any other person/character it would have moved me just as much. I read this story late last night and I couldn't stop thinking about it, I even made an account to just keep it at hand. The way you just wrote it and the emotions you displayed broke my heart (in a good way?) The writing is splendid, better than a lot of other professional authors I've ever read. You made me feel Mako's emotions and although I want to say I hate you for making me feel so terrible, I just want to hug you and tell you thank you. Wonderful job and keep it up!

This story is very well-written but, I hate that Asami wins! I would have died before going to that wedding if I was Korra.

Simply beautiful. I love angst, and you do it so well! It's not the ending I'm hoping for in the show, but I feel it's a very realistic portrait of what would happen if Mako stayed with Asami. And I liked how, in the end, you stayed true to Korra's character - you're right; I doubt she would be willing to sneak around and be secret lovers while Mako is in a relationship.

What's interesting is that she first kissed Mako when he was dating Asami and when Korra and Bolin were becoming involved - so although I like your characterization here, it does seem that Korra, in the heat of the moment, lets her feelings for Mako overpower her moral compass. That would be an interesting exploration - a fic about Korra hating herself as she cheated with Mako, knowing she was in the wrong but unable to help herself.

Hope you write more Mako/Korra, or LoK in general! Your writing is spectacular. I love the "white, feral slash" of a smile and I envy your way with words.

THAT WAS SO GOOD. i like how the sex and stuff wasn't just some writer being all creepy, cause at the end it's all MAKO OPENS HIS EYES and then you look back at the beginning and it says MAKO CLOSES HIS EYES and it all makes sense and

Wow. This is so satisfying and frustrating all at once. I LOVE the ending, but at the same time it breaks my heart. I'm one of those people who, despite all the joy I get at happy endings, I also like the human side of things, where relationships are messy and people don't always do what they ought to, or act on what's "right" rather than what they really want.

that said, this story just..wow. I love the writing in general, and the storyline itself is amazing. I love the end because it packs such an impact and because it's not a perfect happy marriage to Korra, it's Mako settling for second because he wants to make everyone happy, but ends up hurting himself and the woman he loves more than anything.

It's heartbreaking, but beautifully written.

So much angst I can see why this took so long to write. Mako needs to slapped for his decision. He chose the wrong and will be regretting his decision for the rest of his life.
