Creeps. Is it cowardly to attempt to evade an obvious trap? To avoid brutality rather than to embrace it? No, a coward is someone who attacks a solitary victim behind the safety of a group. Someone who blinds and restrains said victim so they cannot defend themselves before the attack. Bravery, on the other hand, is remaining stalwart in a disadvantageous situation. To neither balk nor waver in the face of adversity. And to have confidence and loyalty when only contempt and ridicule await. Arthur is brave. But he’s also more than that. Arthur, more than anything else, is strong. And I think that aspect is what his enemies scorn the most. Arthur is beginning to live up to his title of Gryffindor.
