Brown-Eyed-Marauderette 6/11/12 . chapter 6First off, I would like to apologize for not reviewing this fine example of fanfiction. It has its ups and downs, just like any other story in the world, but the ups far outweigh the downs. Secondly, I would like to express my astonishment that no one else has reviewed! Honestly, this is good and I'm glad to see that the lack of response has not deterred you from writing. Lastly, I think that you have portrayed the characters marvelously so far. I thought it was a bit obscure for Doc to mention her hands after he just kissed her (maybe he could have grabbed her hands or something?) but I personally love it when he said "We're something. And I may kiss you again from time to time.". It was cute and from Shane Taylor's impression of Doc in the series, it was believable. Also a commendable quality of your story, is that you didn't make the romance the main point. You kept the war the main idea and you didn't get them romantically involved until Bastogne. Most stories have the two characters in love by D-Day! You took the story and made the romance fit in and enhance the story instead of detract from it. I hope that the updates keep on coming just as quickly as they have been. It has been a joy to read and I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve for the rest of the story! Rae |
