very nicely pulled off! i like how you twisted the tomoe-enishi thing aroundso it was KAORU and ENISHI who had the romantic history, instead of kenshin and tomoe. and you managed to do it all with an absolute minimum of OOC, somehting extremely impressive :) way to go, i loved it all! _

Heh, I know you wrote this many many years ago, but I really want to write a review to let you know how much I enjoyed reading this. (I probably shouldn't have read all 11 chapters in one sitting since that means no study for me haha but I think it was well worth it)

Kyaa! I'm so glad you made a sequel! And if I'm not mistaken another continuation. XD When I was reading the last chapter I'm like, I don't want it to end, I don't want it to end! But with this chapter you actually did a good job of closing the ending.

I would have preferred a bit slower winding-down, but that may not have worked in real practice. But I know closing a story so that there's a sense of fulfillment is a hard thing to do. I appreciate your skill.

I'm a little miffed that Misao is cooler than Kaoru in this fic. As you got around to the middle Kaoru kicked less and less ass. While I'm sure that keeps them more in character...still, I can dream otherwise.

Again I love your closing line. "I guess...but Himura...that's a nice name." Oh ho, allusions to a wish for marraige? XD

Thank you for your time and effort! The way you started this story out with Kaoru kicking ass as a waitress was WONDERFUL! :D Gets the blood pumpin'. The part where Misao looses Aoshi in the arcade also rocked my socks.

In this chapter the death scene between Kaoru and Enishi was so...emotional. A tad bit cliche or not it was one of those parts of a story that I went back and read four times in a row. "Riveting" I think it's called. You ever reread or watch scenes from your favorite books or TV shows because it's that fascinating. This was like that.

I always thought that there was so much potential between Kaoru and Enishi for some interesting relationship/interaction. Not as a pairing really, KaoruxKenshin is my OTP. :D Enishi was a bit out of character but it was more than worth it!

URGENT! URGENT! URGENT! NAME MIX UP! Okay, Saito's name is Hajime Saito, Saito being the last name. And Soujiro's name is Soujiro Seta, Seta being his last name. I know some authors like to use people's last names as a change of pace, but just in case you didn't know!

Wow! Seta and Saito dueling, Hiko with a grenade launcher and now Kaoru pilots a heliacopter-you should be writing these stories for a living!

Defintely added this story to my favorites after these last few chapters. Very exciting. As I said in the last review, I love how you twisted everything and yet managed to keep it the same in terms of feelings and relationships. In that respect it reminds me of a another great story, "The Spy and the Hitoki" in which Kaoru is completely different and yet totally "her" at the same time. If you haven't read it, I definitely suggest it. Initally, it might seem as if the whole thing will be OOC but as you read, it stays very true in spirit.

I love your stuff. I wish you were still writing Kenshin fiction. I do enjoy other anime and manga but RuroKen is the only one that inspires me to spend time reading more.

Great chapter. You have very cleverly invented a new world and very different (in some ways) positions for the characters and yet they are so much in character. I am happily enjoying the story and a cup of coffee while the world digs out form a blizzard. What a fun way to spend the morning.
