Noctis, according to all the Versus news so far, is supposed to be a bit shy but everyone else writes him as cold and dead sexy. I think I prefer your cute Noctis a bit more!

I was curious how you'd pull an Ouran-esque twist to this AU and I have to say - it WORKED. Noctis and Lightning's respective reasons for joining the host club makes sense, according to the characters you've drawn up. I really like how you've characterized Noctis here - it's a refreshing departure from the usual, and might actually fit what his actual personality is like in the yet-to-be-released-game. You've taken what we DO know - that he's handsome, and projects a cool demeanor around people because he's actually shy (except around his friends). Lightning in your story is less grumpy/cold - she does loosen up in the second game - but I'd imagine her personality would be something like this if the circumstances of her life had been different. And this IS AU so: OOC generally accepted. :)

I vote for Noctis/Lightning! I'm interested in how your versions of them would eventually grow together. Thanks for writing!

This is a nice twist on the Host Club story. Poor Light ahaha. I can't wait until Cloud is actually involved in the story. Makes me wonder though, is Serah still Light's sister too? Hmm...

On the topic of pairings, typically Lightning and Noctis would get together... awkward guy in crushing on a sweet gentle girl with another tough-girl trying to help him get together with her and ends up getting confused - sweet girl falls for playboy friend - etcetc. I know everyone will be jumping for the Lightis ship, but I'm curious as to see the Prompto/Lightning ship take off.

The Prompto you've written has an almost relentless/villainous side to him that would make things quite interesting when interacting with Lightning. She sees right through his acts and bullshit and isn't afraid to call him out on it - something he probably isn't too familiar with when dealing with females. While one could argue that being with the current innocent Noctis would help soften up her demeanour, I think that having her and Prompto bicker and argue would be more entertaining.

Prompto obviously cares a lot for Noctis and wants Light to help him, but she's harsh and won't pull the punches, which could potentially get Prompto's protective side acting up, like it did when Light was laughing at Noct in the change room. Threats of rage quitting and more blackmailing will probably ensue. Not to mention, but Prompto would easily be able to get under Light's skin and get her agitated over the littlest things. He is unused to handling women with his true feelings and self, and she can't stand fakers and liars or letting them get close to her. Light would see no reason to give someone the time of day if they themselves weren't going to give something equally honest or real back to her. He can be straight forward or cunning and sly getting behind her barriers, and she probably wouldn't accept anything that wasn't real coming from him.

I suppose you could say that Lightis is like peeling the proverbial bandaid off slowly and gently - it's awkward and still stings no matter how hard you try to be gentle, and Prompto/Lighting (Lighto? Promlight?) is like ripping them off quickly - sudden slap in the face kind of hurt and is in no way slow or gentle.

Hello first off, this is my first time actually signing up to post a review xD. Great story first off by the way, I haven't watched the series this is similar to but plan to later on sometime. Also I'll give a more detailed review later if I can, but personally I think Noctis x Lightning has better potential than Prompto x Lightning, I personally believe a better story can be made and have much better character development with Lightis.

Best way to end a chapter EVER! I vote for LightningxNoctis beacuse like someone(sorry didn't read you name) said in I think a few posts down "Noctis really needs Light" Noctis and Lightning look so damn cute together XD(wow I never used the word cute before :o)! Hope to see you update soon not just for this stroy but all the other stroys to so tell your next upload I have just this one thing to say...good luck...!
