I don't know what you are talking about, the story's coming out just fine. Actually, better than fine it's great. I'd like for you to keep writing so I can keep enjoying this lovely piece of work. And I think chapter 17 (this one) is not scrappy at all. I was a little confused about the aliases of Wednesday's group until, thankfully, you enlightened me with the names of the others. Oh thank goodness! Wednesdays the matchmaker! That's a good thing, because Wednesday seems really awesome, but I wasn't sure if she and/or Jake would turn out to be villains in disguise, who would take Raven hostage after nullifying her powers and taking the plot down MWAHAHA lane!

... Sorry about that. We've been reading a lot of short stories in English where an ironic twist towards the end causes everybody/the main characters to die horribly. Actually we've just been reading depressing stuff in general. Meh, curriculum :P

Anyway, yes that is a good place to end the chapter, and it wasn't too short. Wednesday is decidedly epic :)
