Seabreeze345 10/19/12 . chapter 9I like your version better than the TV one. Hope you have a continuation in the works? |
Midastouch 8/23/12 . chapter 9Just got one word: explosive! I couldn't help but laugh at the end when Danny showed that picture of Steve at fourteen. There were many other bantering scenes that were hilarious and other scenes were full of angst. Terrific writing! You left me wanting more all the time. Sequel or not, come back with more! |
SteDaChiKo and Me 8/20/12 . chapter 9I wouldn’t mind reading a sequel to that story with Steve and Danny up on that mountain. I know it’s been done in the series but with your keen imagination, you could stir us up another suspense-thriller. You know you’re stuff, baby! |
Little Muchacho 8/20/12 . chapter 9Joe is everything I believe he is in your story. You and I think alike. Though I doubt the producers of H50 will make him out to be a villain, I’m nonetheless grateful for this intrigue. I laughed out loud at the end scenes. Nicely done. |
Caracas20 8/20/12 . chapter 9I applaud Steve’s decision to refuse knowing whether Joe is his father. Well done! Joe could have easily substituted John’s blood in that vial, thus proving that he’s Steve’s father. Although the idea of Joe being Steve’s dad could make for an interesting sequel. I simply devoured that story! I loved the bantering at the end |
Louiseization 8/20/12 . chapter 9I love the show mostly because of the interaction between Steve and Danny and you unmistakably captured that strong bond throughout your story. They’re always there for each other, sticking together through thick and thin, weathering the storms side by side. They are indeed joined at the hip. A beautiful story of a solid friendship. Without Danny, I don’t believe Steve would have come out of this with all of his sanity. Thank you. |
Trace10 8/19/12 . chapter 9HB, thank you for that ‘spoiler’. I truly enjoyed the ride and boy was it bouncy one. Hardly had time to breathe between instalments. Your cliff-hangers were leaving me on the edge. From beginning to end you left a trail of teasers that were difficult to ignore. They would grip me, prompting me to anticipate your next move, but you were always one step ahead of me and that’s what made a great suspense. Danny and Steve’s close-knit friendship was well portrayed. They were truly ‘joined at the hip’ as you so well put it. I enjoyed those scenes, whether they were funny, sad or full of angst. Like Danny, Joe was never one of my favourite people. I have a gnawing feeling that we have yet to see his flip side on the show. His portrayal of the bad guy in your story was superb. A criminal with everything to lose had to push the envelope as far as to hurt the ones he tried to protect. But I did like the fact that he redeemed himself at the end by giving Danny the antidote before it was too late. That was a nice ‘fatherly’ gesture on his part. Steve throwing the blood sample away put a smile on my face. I think the paternity is best left unknown, though I doubt the subject will stay buried forever. Sequel? I love happy endings and you sure gave me plenty to smile about. It was delightful to see the playfulness return after the mayhem our two friends had been thrown into. Again, thank you for a wonderful story and come back again soon. Tracy |
Anthilia2000 8/19/12 . chapter 9I cried at the end when Danny found out that Steve had arranged it for Rachel and Stan to stay in Hawaii. It was just a simple hug but what they said about owing each other, that sums up all the ordeals they went through together in that story. Amazingly done. I was truly touched by this story. |
HonoluluGal 8/19/12 . chapter 9I laughed along with Danny when he showed that photo and I could picture Steve’s face blushing. That was a great scene. I went through an array of emotions throughout this story. You packed quite a punch. Come back soon. Love your writing. |
yunchi222 8/19/12 . chapter 9I adored that last scene. It was playful and lighthearted, a welcome relief from all the tension our people have been under during the course of this story. Thank you for your story. |
Lookyhere 8/19/12 . chapter 9Bravo! It kept me wanting more with each chapter. Hopefully you have a sequel in the works? |
JoyceC 8/19/12 . chapter 9I’m so sorry Margaret had to die but I didn’t have time to dwell on her passing that already you threw me into another chasm with Steve and Joe. I’m curious as to what will happen next? With Joe on the loose, will it be better or worse for our two boys? There’s a sequel there somewhere. |
FicreaderT 8/19/12 . chapter 9A nice ending to a good story - everything worked out well in the end. Well done! |
BarbraAnnS 8/19/12 . chapter 9I must say you spoiled it for me. I don’t know what the producers of the show have in store for next season, but you sure got one up on them. This story is half, perhaps even an entire season wrapped into roughly 26 000 words. I’m keeping this one in my H50 library. |
