I didn't know you had a Kain/Ruka story. I gave up on Vampire Knight a long time ago, although I'm still fond of this pairing. The unrequited-love angle is lovely, and I always wondered what would happen when Ruka finally realizes how much she means to Kain.

I wouldn't say that there are errors in your characterization of the two. Everyone has their own interpretation and yours fit your storyline very well! I love stories that center around the idea of a dance between the both of them. It can either be heartbreaking or heartwarming. I think yours had both!
