LaceyLouLou82 5/19/13 . chapter 22I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that I read this whole thing in one single sitting. The bad news is that my hubby will be home from work soon and I have gotten absolutely nothing done today. There are no words for how much I love this story. I am reading fics for a bunch of shows right now but this one just sky rocketed to the top of my favorite list. I love it all. Every single aspect of it. You are one of the best writers that i have ever seen and I can not wait for you to finish this. I need an update soon. Please. |
Sunset Mission 5/15/13 . chapter 22Just wanted to say that I'm not really a shipper of anything, but your story really managed to catch and keep my interest for the longest time. You've actually manged to distract me long enough that I ended up reading instead of studying for my finals. You're also one of the few writers here who can capture the snark banter between characters so I would hate it if this story was ever left incomplete. I love that your chapters are long as hell and I'm sure we all appreciate just how much time that must take. So keep on writing because you've got at least 300 people waiting here anxiously waiting for the next chapter! |
anonymous me 5/14/13 . chapter 22 Okay, so I don't watch HoD but I did check it out during the first season because of the cast, so I'm familiar with the show. (I hail from the Deep South, and Hollywood's portrayals of the stereotypical quirky small southern town often totally miss the mark, at least for me. So I just end up nitpicking tiny things and missing the fun of such shows, damn my southern upbringing, lol, which also compels me to let you know that it's Roll Tide, never Go Tide...just trying to be helpful :) ). And I can't say enough how much I lovelovelove the comparison of George and Duncan, Scott Porter and Teddy Dunn. Veronica and Logan comparing the two made me laugh out loud, and then smile the rest of the chapter. When I watched FNL, I nicknamed Scott Porter "Teddy Dunn Who Can Act." Porter has similar "all-American" good looks and charm, yet his acting chops could dice Dunn's wooden line delivery into sawdust (and I still like your Duncan!). All that rambling aside, their short little visit in Bluebell is charming and fun, a little Doc Hollywood-esque diversion they all probably need (another favorite movie). This heat wave means high temps and humidity with immeasurable UST now that Logan and Veronica have made this bet, which is just too entertaining. So much that if Logan does make a southern cousin-lovin joke with Veronica at some point, I won't mind at all. You write Logan so well, I'll probably laugh at it. :) Can't wait to see how it plays out. If this wasn't your favorite part of this monster chapter, I can't wait to read part two! |
42thursday 5/14/13 . chapter 22Oh. My. God. I spent nearly 12 hours reading this. That's 12 hours that were borrowed from sleep, work and weekend fun. I regret nothing. I'm usually very cautious about getting into a fic that has so many chapters already and is still ongoing, but this time.. Well, let's just say the rewards were worth it. And you're my favourite VM fic writer EVER. Really, at some points I was wondering whether we should all gather and make a petition to assure that Rob Thomas takes you on his writers team, because you'll bring so many great character developments, thought-through situations and dialogues! And while I'm waiting for next updates on this fic and Neptune, I'm going to read every single VM-related word you've ever written. Seriously. I started with following you on tumblr yesterday, and, well, I'm pretty much in love with you, as a reader can be overwhelmed most of the times. You know the feeling. As of the story itself - it's such an interesting combination of noir and comedy, that I was unable to put it aside, chapter after chapter. And all that "subconscious" stuff - Duncan's dreams, Liam's flashbacks, - there's so much power there, that it's even scary at times. And I generally don't like LoVe stories that start way back when Lilly was alive (because it was so much interesting to watch Logan and Veronica bond in season one, see them genuinely hate each other, with little implications of their relationship before the disaster. Oh, and also because I have hard time believing that Logan would fall for the vanilla type of naive and innocent Veronica. The badass, new and improved version 2 is much, much more impressive), but the whole "having Veronica on a pedestal and intentionally ruining her perfect image" is surprisingly very believable, realistic and makes a lot sense with those two. Oh, and Logan breaks my empathic heart over and over again, sometimes even more than in the show - and that's not easy to top. The angst in season three and second half of season one always seemed to do the job properly, but there you are, making his life even harder than it was originally, and I'm ready to go kick some Aaron Echolls ass much like Veronica herself. So - with all my heart - thank you! I'm looking forward to more of your work, and if you ever decide to publish a book or two - you can count on my purchases and lifelong gratitude. |
Anastasia Dreams 5/13/13 . chapter 22This was by far one of the best VM's fics I have ever read. The sexual tension drips from every sentence. You have me practically on the edge of my seat waiting with bated breath for the next kiss, the next touch between Veronica and Logan. I hope you keep writing and updating this story because it is truly amazing and I don't think I can imagine a life without knowing how it all turns out in the end. |
Ash211230 5/13/13 . chapter 22I'm excited about the next chapter! I want to see who snaps first her or Logan, how far will they push each other. I hope the heat wave effects them in a good way. Please post soon! Ash |
hamiltonthethird 5/12/13 . chapter 6 Amazing concept check, witty dialog check, and as little possible face time for characters that aren't Veronica and Logan check. Basically this is magic, just pure magic. I can literally, no not literally, hear the character's voices when reading this. My marshmallow-ness is reaching ghost busters status. |
Angelfish66 5/11/13 . chapter 22Just when it was starting to get hot in there! Whoooo can't wait for next chapter ;) |
TinkStar87 5/11/13 . chapter 22Oh, yeah it's so on in Bluebell, to bad no Zoey Hart than the party would really be getting started. Love Hart of Dixie! When i read the name for this chapter i made a little squeal. Anyway great chapter can't wait for the next and read ya later ;) |
arileb 5/10/13 . chapter 22 you are an amazing writter! and I love this story! thanks for another chapter! I hope there is another soon! |
babyscardinal 5/10/13 . chapter 22Interesting chapter. I have never watched Hart of Dixie, but I looked up the show so I would have an idea in my mind what these people looked like. I am curious to see how the challenge pans out since both Logan and Veronica care more about each other than they are willing to admit to the other. Good stuff. |
Astranti 5/9/13 . chapter 22I've just come back from my vacation and was pleasantly surprised to find a new chapter. I love the crossover. Wade is just the guy to make Logan jealous. When I first saw Hart of Dixie I immediately thought how George Tucker and Duncan Kane are alike! |
Ela Plume-en-sucre 5/9/13 . chapter 22Loved it ! Great crossover, of course Dunkan is a George Tucker but I'm not even sure anymore if I want the heat wave to work for logan or for his competition... I'm mean... it's Wade we're talking about here ! :) can't wait for the next chapter ! |
