You know and I may be in the minority or one hell of a conspiracy theorist but after re-reading some of the chapters AFTER Angela and Edward do the dirty, that a fair amount of time has passed and their interactions with each other at the hospital have been professional...so my guess is that Angela has been having an affair with someone else AFTER Edwardo.
