Actually, at one point, Bane was brought back to life so that Bane and Cyric were around at the same time.

Consider it similar to Marvel Universe, nobody stays dead.

Uhm... as far as I know Bane died during the Times of Trouble along with Bhaal and Myrkul, collectively known as the Dead Three, Cyric was a mortal man who attained Godhood in order to replace those three, logically Cyric and Bane cannot exist at the same time, but hey, a minor detail that I can live with. Anyway, it's a good start, and I will be looking forward to reading more.
