I love high school fics. Wait let me correct that, I love GOOD high sch fics and yours is just plain awesome. I love how you didn't just hash the cliche high sch fics kenshin/Kaoru comes, falls for each other boom kiss wham sex zap babies! You did a really interesting buildup to it and tantalised us with the ending. As much as I would love a continuation of it, this is pretty muh a perfect one-shot.

This might be actually the third high school fic in Ruroken verse that is actually well written and interesting. Well, it is just a short start at the moment, but I got really curious about how you will spin this. So, if the Ruroken mood strikes you, I definitely will be checking out your works.

Pretty sure I've never read a highschool AU that was well written. And as I write that I can think of one, but this makes it two. Good characterization, fun reading, but not shallow. I liked the build-up to Kenshin and Kaoru meeting. Seems like it could be more than a one-shot though. Maybe you were planning on continuing if the response was good enough...? One thing I found odd was the tense you chose to write in, but then everyone has their preferences. For me, the simple present tense lends a sense of immediacy and is more serious in nature. It's not meant as a criticism, you write well in that tense, just my own personal preferences. Nicely done, and now I'll go stalk your page. :)
