You're an amazing writer, you came up with much better dialogue than the pathetic sequel to Gone With The Wind, I really didn't like Alexandra Ripley's writing style.

That was great! Now why couldn't Margaret Mitchell have ended it that way?

OK, maybe her ending is appropriate, but this is the ending we all WANT to see. You recommended someone else's GWTW fic, I think? I will definitely check it out, as this is the first one I've ever read (save 'Scarlett.' *Shudder*).

It seemed to take you a while to get into the right sound-there's no other word-of Scarlett's world; at the beginning it didn't sound very much like her words. But once you got to

"I can’t bring myself to believe that," he announced. "Scarlett Butler, you wouldn’t die for anyone or anything in the world."

"But I would!" she argued passionately. "I would, Rhett, I would!"

I was so impressed; those lines really hit the nail on the head with their voices.

And I agree. Rhett COULDN'T stop loving Scarlett. It's just not possible.

Odd. Very odd. It was so...so canon, if that makes sense. (Also, an FYI: to canonize someone means to make them a saint. Odd, no?)
I like GWTW and have written some stuff in this category, and this one was...I don't know, exactly. It was very good, except where he gave into her so easily. I can't see him just believing her after everything like that, not after he's had his heart ripped up. He's not a very careless man, and I think his own instinct would stop him from coming back to her...and therefore destroy him. But I already wrote a story about that, didn't I...?
Have you read the book? It gives a better understanding of the relationship between them, and into Rhett's characer in particular.

Wow, I love this story. Its short, but its not sudden like most of the other stories. Its informative, but not a drag.

An absolutely beautiful piece! I've just finished reading Gone with the Wind for the first time and was wholly unsatisfied with the ending - I mean, how could it just *end* like that? But after reading your fic I'm just going to pretend that this part was in the book... I absolutely loved this piece of writing :o).

I'm such a hopeless romantic and I positivly love Gone With The Wind, especially Rhett and Scarlett. I have to admit that while it was the movie that first got me interested, it was the book that captivated me. Anyway, about your story: completely awsome! It was so well written, every was just...it was almost like I was reading an epilogue by Mitchell herself. I would love to read anything else you wrote about GWTW!
