Ok it doesnt really make sense that Rachel wouldn't 'remember' what happened considering she was awake the entire time.

But up until that point i thought it was really awesome.

Great stuff. Ivy is in my eyes one of the examples of utter love...that she would not let anything happen while Rachel was drunk is true Ivy behavior.
That she wanted Rachel to, while sober, admit to her and herself was the right thing to do for them both. That she does not want to get hurt is part of it but even now it still feels like she is always thinking of Rachel's well being too.

I think Rachel does have some growing up to do in order to make this work. Not talking to Ivy and throwing tantrums is not the way to go. But I am sure it can work because that she loves Ivy has never been anything other than a fact.

Can't wait for the next chap...after how long she has made Ivy wait I see quite a bit of teasing ahead, as well as Rachel being deliciously sore in all the right places and having to sleep for at least almost a day to regain her strength.

First of all... you need to change this from "complete", missy! ;) I'm glad you continued it!

That first paragraph threw me off a bit as I wasn't sure who was talking at first - you might want to revisit that. Otherwise, the rest flowed more smoothly.

Ivy's feelings and introspection are so heartfelt. Yeah, you can't just so suddenly be un-in-love with someone you've carried a torch for for so long. Rachel's a dumbass, but at least she's trying (read: floundering) to spill her guts finally. I'm glad it worked despite the lack of finesse, ha, because now they get to make up, woot! XD Well done. ;)

Nice, liked Rachel's charming awkwardness and fumbling attack, and the shifting sexual orientation passage was amusingly presented.
Now the only thing left, is for me to complain about the smut not delivered,
if it will help giving us a third chapter ;-)

Cruel, oh so cruel...

So many amazing moments in this fic, I'd love to see where you take us...unless it's the end. :(

It's fics like this that remind me why I adore Ivy and how much of an inconsiderate idiot KH turned Rachel into. I really loved how Ivy waited Rachel out, keeping her busy while also not going past a point of no return while she waited for Rachel to sober up. THAT is a good friend, and shows just how much Ivy cares for Rachel to even search for that amount of self-control within herself while her instincts were probably screaming at her the entire time to just go through with it regardless of the consequences.

I can almost forgive Rachel's dumbfounded behavior, because propositioning your friend for sex while drunk and then coming back to a coherent state with said friend kissing you would (I imagine) be confusing. But considering her past characterization by KH, it's hard to feel sorry for her in this situation.

Also, I had almost forgotten how sexy Ivy was. But when she fed this line to Rachel, "It's all me, baby," I remembered! How Rachel has resisted Ivy this long is beyond me. She's fiercely loyal, protects Rachel, puts up with her shit-any sane person would have jumped on that a loooong time ago, which again, makes it hard to feel sorry for Rachel in the long run.

My hard broke when Ivy said she was leaving, much like I'm sure Rachel's did.

I could gush about this, and Ivy, forever, but I'll stop here and simply say that I enjoyed this. Thank you.

Wonderful story! Rachel definitely has some issues to deal with concerning Ivy and seeing as she doesn't even acknowledge them unless intoxicated, or in a near death situation, they always seem to surface at the worst times.

I would back Ivy on leaving after something like that though as turning down drunken Rachel, very willing and waiting, to face sober Rachel who was back to being as emotionally useless as ever would really be too much for anyone to handle - especially if there were years of waiting and hoping that the witch would come to her senses only to truly realize that wasn't ever going to happen.

Great work and I hope to see another story for these two as there aren't enough of them.

Okay, I don't really care how stupid Kim Harrison makes Rachel be,or how stubborn or in denial... going back to the very first book;the way that Rachel described Ivy, she would not use Ivy.
I hope to see another chapter here, one where a very sober Rachel pulls her head out of her ass and her foot out of her mouth and sits Ivy down and talks to her. There is nothing wrong with being nervous, or not knowing how to go about it, but she needs to talk...tell Ivy that she likes her...yes, like that...but that she want to take it very slow. If Ivy is able to do what she did here, no temptation will get to her...she once again put Rachel's well being before her own and it shows just how much she loves her. I really want to smack Rachel right now...please continue asap.

Just wanted to say thanks for the story, I really enjoyed it. Just a shame that it ends there. I think the angst of what Rachel goes through when she realises what she has made Ivy do and how she reconciles this would have made a great story.

It would also be fun to see how angry Jenks is.
