| Fred Philippi 8/25/12 . chapter 1
I find it a seemingly plausable story and much more believable than the story of Thomas taking the comb from the Chief's hair. What is strange is that a Wesleyan minister would recite the Hail Mary which came from the religion of the Popes. My research says that Thomas Baker's last words were "Peace! Peace!" after he had partaken in a drink of Kava which was offered to him. I believe the ax story because his head taken away in a woven keti and was later buried at another village and not cooked as most commonly reported.

This a new story that does not ring true. If you want to know what happened to Thomas' head, it did not get eaten. Also the arm bone of Thomas was buried under the pulpit of Baker's Hall.
