I wished the book ended like this... however I didn't like it. This fanfic didn't reflect F. Scott Fitzgerald's style in the slightest, other then it being written in the first person, and with that, it's not even written from Nick's perspective!
You just ruined the point of the book! The point was they couldn't be together because RICH GIRLS DON'T MARRY POOR BOYS! The only way it could have ended was with Gatsby dying, because he's everything good in the world, he hasn't been tampered with by the rich.
