my twin is autistic, so here are pointers.
*jayden would be low functioning autistic. high functioning means she works well in environments low functioning austistics wouldn't like subways, loud places basically.
*they hear alot of background noise other people can't and they notice more things people usually do.
*they have bad tantrums and get frustrated easily
*they say random things, because they have trouble figuring out what to say.
that's a lot of basic info, but so far, this is good!

Interesting details in the telling of Jayden's past. I like how you set her apart, not only because of her uniqueness, but how different she was from the rest of her family - it gives a sense of solitude to her. Good cliffhanger, too.
