What a lovely update. It was nice that Richard & Kahlan found their way back to one another after all that pain. Poor Richard needs to hear his daughter call him Daddy.

I like the way you're developing this story. They finally are behaving like adults and are talking about their fears and desires.

Just one nitpicker: "Looking down, she saw Cassie, her thumb in her mouth, clutching Richard's old shirt with one hand and holding her mother's hand with the other."
If I'm counting correctly: thumb in mouth - ; Richard's shirt - 2. hand; mother's hand - 3. hand? Or did yu mean that the shirt and thumb in mouth were on the same hand?

Nope I haven't forgotten the story and I'm looking forward to seeing how you finish it. Keep going!

Was an amazing fic until this chapter

Glamour spell ... forbidden and devastating ... OK, I didn't thought of that. You gave us no clue about it like TG DID in his book. But Richard is right in one thing - Kahlan didn't trust him. No matter what she says, no matter how she acts, she didn't trust his love. Otherwise she would NEVER do what she did. I can only hope she will see her mistake and put her trust in him again. Trust isn't something you can simply proclaim, it has to be earned, it has to be given. Meaning that Richard has to earn it back too. Probably by not running away again, by caring for his girls...

Tim ... one remaining obstacle that should be removed; one way or another.

When I received the notifciation this morning, I was both excited and dreading reading the updated. But my curiosity got the best of me and I am glad that I gave in and read the update.

I knew Richard could not love anyone but Kahlan. I did not see Kahlan being the reason for the feelings Richard was experiencing. Glad that true love cleared his head and very glad that they are finally starting to address their feelings and their fears. Looking forward to the next update.

What the hell?! Where did Lena come from? RICHARD not in love with Kahlan Jesus what did he get hit in the head and I missed that part! Talk about a curve ball. You lost me in this chapter. I hope the confusion is cleared up in the next chapter!

No Richard is not in love with Lena, I agree with Cara he is only in love with her looks because they remind him of Kahlan. Will Cara be the one to point his out or will it be Zedd? Come on they have to realize they are hurting each other and not doing any good for Cassie. Still hoping for a reunion and happy ending.

I don't like the way where this goes and my interest in the story is completely gone. Absolutely not my taste any more. Sorry.
