Kind of a Mary sue this arisa... I don't really like the character development in the story, it seems like you're trying to incorporate some modern aspects, like the date, and forgetting some cultural basis or gender role at the time (not that it was a good thing...) but yeah, up 'till now seems like a generic story to me. I just wish you could spell-check more and use some more commas and periods; there are times when you can't really understand what the character is saying until your re-read..
