The one thing I want to nitpick in this is the relative ages of Sam and Dean. You say that Sam is 13, but Dean is 19. They're only supposed to be 4 years apart, so Dean should be 17.
That'd still be old enough not to be in school (presuming Dean dropped out around 16 years of age), and to drive a car and be expected to pull his weight on a hunt by John, and not immediately be presumed to be under-age when seen alone with Sam.

Sorry for only posting one review for the last three chapters, this was a really great story and I was so happy for Dean and Sam getting out of hunting, then this happens, it was so sad that Linda lost her baby and is now locked up in a psychiatric ward, how are they going to be together again in that situation. Will she ever forgive Dean if she knows the truth? Did the demon follow John to Bobby's or did it know all alone where the boys were? I hate it that Dean is going to go back to hunting. I hope you are going to write a sequel, although I dread how things will work out for everyone. Thanks.

just found and read the whole story. Beautifully written. Tough vunerablity is how you fittingly wrote Dean. Sam was wonderfully inocently made the great daddy that I knew he would. Linda must be explored more so you must do a sequel. Dean needs to get Linda out of the psych ward. and go into advanced training before he hits the road. Sam and Linda could help him with this, in turn helping themselves to heal some.

Great seeing another chapter, and great too that Dean is slowly getting better, still has his girl and hasn't given in to his thoughts of hunting again, even if he was well enough to do it. Poor Dean:(! At least they got rid of John that damn ass. Please no more Hurt Dean I think he's gone through enough, but I like the idea of showing them growing up with Bobby maybe show some real family moments between Bobby, Dean and Sam:) and then them saving John maybe?

Well I love the idea of Dean and Sam getting a chance at a normal life with Bobby:) and Linda seems sweet shame and good for Dean;) also loved the Sam and Dean moment at the end (love the Winchester brother moments, too sweet). Please update when possible:)

Great chapter, poor Dean, why he even wants to have John in his life at all, after what he did to him. And to think he believes he's letting his mom down by giving up hunting was so sad. I'm not sure about Dean and Sam being drawn into a case I mean the guy can barely stand, let alone hunt, It would be good to see what they make of their lives living with Bobby. More soon, Thanks.

Personally, I'd just like to see John get his head out of his ass. Maybe a cameo appearence by Ellen and Jo?

As for Sam and Dean, I'd love to see more of their life with Bobby-maybe Dean actually thinking about college?

I'm not a fan of Death fics but after reading about John breaking his son's face and then kicking Dean in his just beginning to heal ulcer I wouldn't blink if John left the premisses 'feet first'.

I can't see John being able to just bully his son's back int the life after this. I hope Bobby can find a way to get custody.

Oh my word nooooo Dean! :e's so hurt it makes me want to cry:( and Bobby should beat the shit out of John and teach him a damn good lesson damn jackass...so yeah good story so far I like the idea of Sam and Dean getting a chance at a normal life especially while staying with Bobby, who as you point out is more of a dad than John ever was. Please let Dean get healed up soon! Also love the family moments and of course the brotherly bond between Dean and Sam (which you've shown really well by the way) as well as Dean having an actual girlfriend (from what you've written so far she sounds so sweet and good for Dean). Well, I wasn't expecting John to go all badass on Dean and beat him half to death, Thank goodness Bobby and Sam came home right away, Now what will this do to Dean?
