Bleh. I understand of working I'm another story. I was about to publish my hard worked Ib story but my files crashed and lost them.
Bad luck here!

this captures the true beauty of a story this is wonderful

*deep breath* Okay. I personally enjoyed the premis. It was a good idea, and I like the idea of one of the art pieces not being out to get anyone. Unfortunately, certain things don't match the canon, and Marlene wandered in Mary Sue territory. Mary wanted to leave the fabricated world HERSELF, and she needed to REPLACE someone from the real world to do so. Mary revealed both of these things in her diary. Anyone who wanted to leave the fabricated world needed to take someone from the real world's place. Marlene also knew WAY to much. While some of this can be explained from living in the world, she started sounding like an explaination character. Some of the reveals should have come from discovery on Garry's part. The last one is kinda just a pet peeve of mine. Marlene should have needed something to remember. Garry didn't remember until he spoke to Ib and found the handkerchief. Now, I seem to be the only person who think's Marlene is sue-ish, so maybe I'm the only one who sees this. A few things could have been done better, but all in all, it was an interesting read.

Oh, not to be the Grammar Police, but did you make a mistake? When the doll says "...Allie isn't with us anymore." it says "Jolly's tone was different. It WAS playful or mysterious,..." you meant wasn't, didn't you? It confused me at first but I did understand what you meant, so no biggie
