I know I'm reading this about six years since you stopped writing it (thank God you finished it then because I'd be having conniptions now otherwise) and that you might not even get this review, but I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed this fic. I saw it recommended somewhere a few days ago and, while I've largely stepped away from fanfiction, decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad that I did.

Your writing style is fantastic. It drew me in in the first chapter, not to mention your characterization. It's interesting to see Rowling's books portrayed in a more adult light without all the warm fuzzies that come with children's literature. Of course the characters are going to have regrets and of course things aren't just going to patch up and everyone's going to live happily ever after. Well, maybe they can live happily ever after, but a more realistic happily ever after? I like the 'happily ever after' endings...

I really liked the depth you added to everyone and the reasonings behind their actions that you provided. You really do have a firm grasp of the characters as well as just what makes people tick in general. It was also nice to see a cynical Remus for once rather than the typical happy go lucky professor or the angst-bunny-werewolf. And as silly as it sounds, there really is a lot to be learned from the way you have them cope with their difficulties and with their differences.

Anyway, I hope that even if you aren't still writing fanfiction, that you're still doing some sort of writing because you definitely have a knack for it. I can't believe you only got a hundred reviews for this story. There should've been a lot more than that.

i know it's been a million years since u completed this story, but i just wanted to say that i luv it. a lot. i actually read this five years ago, but i think i stopped at around chapter eight. i then i found it again! hehehe. i luv it.

While I understand that that is quite a good ending, I think it was too... sudden.

*hugs you* Oh, my. I don't think I've ever read a proper angst in my entire life. I really mean that; this is what teenage angst is /supposed/ to be, because it treats it with respect. For once I found a lot to relate to but DIDN'T wind up depressed myself; I hadn't know that was possible *grin* The way you tied these three characters together, and their myriad relationships past and present, was simply mind-blowing, in an entirely artistic as well as personal sense. Phenomenal, I will remember this. *hug, hug*

Oh my. I've gotten this far through the story and I'm almost in tears :P. This is amazing. Wonderfully written, incredible character portrayals. I've never thought of Lupin as being like this, but it makes so much sense. The story could have made him seem whiny, but it doesn't, it's just horribly, wonderfully sad. Well well well done. Off to read the rest! :D
