OH GOD this made me cry so hard...but I'm glad it ended happily...

what really stung were the Sherlock parallels...the just like flying with a more permanent destination...and the way he said goodbye and then went to fall off the ledge of the building with his arms spread...and having Douglas save Martin when John couldn't save Sherlock...I mean I know Benedict plays Sherlock and Martin...but to allude to Sherlock like that is just so heartbreakingly brilliant.

this hurt so much, but the kissing and confessions of love at the end definitely eased some of the pain...

I've read this story so many times and I swear it gets better every time I read it. It's truly gorgeous and I genuinely cannot get over how beautiful the ending is. I'm not ashamed to say that I shed a tear (or a few), it's brilliant and I hope to see more Martin/Douglas fics from you sometime :D
