Lovely second chapter that takes the direction the series very well could have gone, had Jai not been truly dead.

Annie's recovery from nearly freezing to death is nicely done and conveys the sense of growing warmth and descent into a sleepy haze. Yes, they have all been changed by this experience.

I've been waiting for you to post a follow-up chapter. I wish the series writers had kept Jai around. I kept hoping since he was frequently shown in in the "Previously" clips that they might bring him for the early present.

this is really cool but if u put jai a live it would be cooll if some one tips simone off and cause them to take shelter in another country unfriendly to the us and it causes anne to remmber something when she was young b4 falling sleep with a concousion and let jai and annie have a moment

Yeah, Annie is okay. You have done a wonderful job with this. Unfortunately, for Jai I do believe the only place for him now is the lovely world of fanfiction.

ooooh! most excellent! I'd say have him reveal (as we suspect) his mission on bringing Simon down and that he was in hiding until he found fresh evidence on Simon. Don't forget episode one! And for the record confirm if its a Annie/Jai or Annie/Auggie thing if at all. She is cold in the mountains with a very sexy Sendhil Ramamurthy ;)

Realy, really nicely done with gripping suspense and realistic picture of death by cold. Clean, pleasure-to-read writing. I would be more of the opinion that Jai had been sent to take her to whatever lies beyond this life for us, however. Like you, I suspected that Jai might return, but I read an interview with the writers/producers where they insisted that on Covert Affairs dead was definitely dead - never to return.
But, as you say, this is what fan fiction is for. Would be happy to see you continue this story.
