Interesting idea. It was annoying how they never explained what happened to 1840 PT Quentin. This way at least one Quentin & Daphne got to be happy. :D

it was a good story, I always thought that Quentin and Daphne belong together even in 1841pt.

This one falls into the category of unlikely happy endings. Unfortunately, I'd have to go back over my videos of the 1840PT story, but I had the impression that Daphne was so into her little delusion about being in love that I couldn't immagine Daphne faking an illness like this. Still, the characters of all soap opera are so caught up in thier little problems, something like this is just what I WANT to see: stepping outside one's prejudices, seeing things outside the rosy tints we paint them with and striking out to find happiness elsewhere (in this case Daphne with Quentin)
I wish I could make a good suggestion on how to make it seem more plausible, but I guess you just have to depend on a little suspension of belief -- that Daphne & Quentin pulled the wool over our eyes during the 1840PT story and managed a happy ending off screen.
It's also a nice touch that Julia would be secretly helping them -- a nice change of using secrets to actually help her family instead of just acting as an automatic keeper-of-secrets-that-must-never-be-known

Oh, I simply love this! I always thought it was terrible how the show had a close for every character (still alive) except for Quentin. Especially since he was supposed to be next in line to inherit, not Bramwell... the writers of the show acted as if he never existed.
So, I really enjoyed your "add on" to 1841 PT and finally gave Quentin the finality that he deserved in the show. Keep up the great writing. :)

Oh, this is a delight! Wonderful idea. And I remember having been annoyed at one time because the show's writers never bothered to answer the question of who'd killed Stella. Perfect solution!
