El Torro 1/20/13 . chapter 53I was really expecting Duosion to evolve, but I don't care because Nick won! Big Bang Theory reference, I like it. Anyways, I'm really interested in how you are going to take up the next 37 chapters with all of the things you just listed. Hopefully N doesn't ruin the Pokemon League, he should ruin the Grand Festival if anything |
DeathGoblin 1/20/13 . chapter 53The battle had a satisfying conclusion, though I was partially expecting Pignite to win it I'm glad Duosion got his chance to shine. Lampent fainted in a way that was believable as well. However I noticed you using the word span, but the correct word for that situation was spun (past tense for spin). The ending was humorous (the humor is a strong point in this story), and I'm looking forward to the next battle between Max and his rival. As for having filler chapter, I don't see the plot revolving team plasma as filler (filler is only a plot that is only relevant for that episode and has no relevance afterwards except in anther standalone sequel to it). I'm sure you can come up with some non-filler plots due to the number of rivalries you've set up as well as the prophecy with team plasma and the plot with Nick and his father and the love triangle with Lily and Casey (possibly a rectangle with May if that develops more). |
DarkWolfAssassin 1/20/13 . chapter 52Wait...Explosion, being a normal type move, would have zero effect on a Ghost type, regardless of circumstance unless Lampent was holding a Ring Target...I fail to see the logic. |
El Torro 1/20/13 . chapter 52Of course Lampent will survive, it's a ghost type so it shouldn't be hurt by a normal type move. Maybe next chapter, Pignite or Cubchoo could evolve *wink *wink. Good chapter as always and I'll be looking forward to the second part |
DeathGoblin 1/20/13 . chapter 52I don't think you need to include May and Max's pokemon unless they are relevant to the episode since the listings are taking up a significant portion of the length. I liked the battle since it had combinations and felt intense. However, Lampent, being a ghost type, should be completely immune to explosion, though she could still faint to toxic. That would leave Nick with 4 pokemon to battle Garbodor. Gallade's teleport is now a really convenient way to travel, and I also like that hint of affection between Nick and may, though Nick is generally attracted to pretty girls. I'm looking forward to the next chapter and the battle's conclusion. |
dpghut 1/20/13 . chapter 19 I got that reference about: "The super sleuths are on the case!" And then the "woof woof". Anyways, awesome story. |
PokeNick12 1/19/13 . chapter 51Wooowww. Lily seems very coldhearted now... Anyways, how do you come up with such awesome combinations?! I always imagine them anime-style. thank arceus that servine survived( i personally think that pokemon shouldnt die its just wrong.). I really hope nick wins against Roxie this time. I want to know what happend between amy and treny is there a broken romance in there? Well keep up the good work. P.s. Is Skyla sticking around now? Is she like Cilan in the anime? P.p.s. WHEN IS NICK GETTING EMBOAR!? |
nonya 1/18/13 . chapter 50 yes i will read the story |
DeathGoblin 1/18/13 . chapter 51I liked the chapter, though the title didn't really make sense until the ending (I originally thought it would have something to do with Nick's bond with May or that Casey got to spend time with him without her in the pokemon preserve). It seems like May's sadness should be just as much about how she "broke" Lily, turning the happy girl who admired her into a colder and angrier girl (maybe she could try to win because she thinks it will save Lily or something). I wouldn't have had a problem with Servine dying (in terms of plot quality), though I'm glad she pulled through. However how she was save was a little off to me, and on a side note, Arceus is the god of pokemon while Mew is the ancestor of most of them, though I liked that Mew showed up anyway. I think it would have been better if Servine was given another chance because of some mission she had instead of just getting it (maybe something that ties in to Nick's prophecy). The battles were all great and I especially liked Amy's, which adds the mystery of why she's mad at Trent. I can only imagine how Trent feels because HIS Blastoise that he promised would win her the contest lost. It was also a nice bit of humor how the May vs Amelia battle was less like a contest and more like a trainer battle. I am hyped for the rematch with Roxie and am looking forward to it. |
1000 Cherry Blossoms 1/18/13 . chapter 1Nice start, but I think Cheren's kind of OOC... |
El Torro 1/18/13 . chapter 51I almost punched a hOle through my wall when I read that Servine died! Hopefully he can battle against Roxie, despite the type disadvantage. Good chapter and I'll be waiting for the next |
I.C.2014 1/18/13 . chapter 51Lilly needs to get over what happened between her and May. It wasn't even THAT serious in the grand scheme of things. I really hope Nick isn't bothering with that girl anymore. I kind of wish May had won the final battle though. |
PokeNick12 1/17/13 . chapter 50Once again, monfernofreak strikes back with another great chapter. i was really hoping Nick would win this battle against cheren but, oh well. He'll eventually kick his arse in a league or a conference or something. oh noes! I hope servine dosent die! I would like to see what happens with servine(pleasepleaseplease survive). i loved riolu's barrage of punches i pictured it so awesomely in my mind. well anyways keep up the good work. |
JohtoBlue 1/15/13 . chapter 31I think that he could win. He didn't really take a real break. He had constant battles. -"Hmm… I want to battle him!" the teenager yelled. He looked about 16, 17 and had long white hair that was tied in a ponytail at the back and swayed down nearly to his butt. He had a fringe that swayed to the side and with grey jeans and a sea blue top he looked mature, yet young. He had a serious face yet a pumped face letting you know that he was up to battle and he stood like a trainer yet a young adult. He was the combination of old and young. "I'm Trevor and I'm from Opelucid City. I was raised in a Dragon-Type loving household and my starter Pokemon was a Druddigon but I like to balance my team with other types too. I know, I don't need to be giving you my life story but there's one more thing you should know: I'm the son of legendary Dragon-Type master Drayden!- This is no real way to introduce an OC. Is this the way that someone would talk? It would have been better to drag out this information, making the character better. It would have been better to learn that he started with Druddigon after the battle. |
DarkWolfAssassin 1/15/13 . chapter 50Oh you little jackwagon (Do not ask...) AAAHHHHH DAMN IT ALL. Sigh, nice cliffhanger...jerk. Regardless, I might as well answer the questions. 1:...Unless it is an adventure, most likely not. Sorry, I like the stories with traveling and stuff. 2: Well if they gain a secondary type that'd be fine. IF it went as I have heard. Which is Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, and Water/Fighting. Each starter has and advantage and disadvantage to the others. Be pretty interesting don't ya think? |
