Great chapter beautiful, love the short novel scenes which have been stolen, and how can you describe this BEAUTIFUL, congratulations you are always brilliant.
Sand5Marlowe 5/17/13 . chapter 49
This whole chapter just filled my heart! But my fav. part was Cloud Dancing and his description of his vision. Whenever you bring CD into your story, it's like hearing the beautiful tinkling of tiny silver bells on a rainy day. [That means I love it!] And I loved the way Sully and Michaela look at one another. How they just love each other so that they can't take there eyes off the other. And the way Sully took her hand and that Kiss! My heart was a flutter! hee hee! "Her gaze never strayed long from Sully...she found him absolutely gorgeous, and so alluringly virile, and was headily pleased at how the burgundy shirt he wore contrasted handsomely with his beads and smooth tanned skin."-Oh yeah! You can say that again! And the part where he sees her looking at her ring. There's so much more than sexual allure, there's the loving devotion. You always make sure to show that, which I think is really in keeping with the show.

There is so much I loved about this chapter. Sully's bday, the way you've been drawing that line of contrast between David and Sully, and when the letter came and he knew exactly what to say to her. My teeth hurt from how tight my jaw was clenched when the blizzard came. "As she closed her eyes to silently pray for his safety, she felt Brian's little hand slide into hers. She opened her eyes to find the child gazing up at her. With childlike wisdom and pure faith in his hero, he murmured, "Don't worry, Dr. Mike. Sully'll be okay. You'll see. He can do anything."-I could just see Brian. So adorable and exactly like in the show.

Oh man back to the jaw clenching. I was so scared I thought you were going to break the horses leg again. And I loved the coat of white powder detail. Man, this section was like watching a scene from the episode. Ah what's in the package! It's only a mile but still its a MILE! IN a Blizzard! And he's Walking! Well there goes my nails again. ;) Marvelous chapter! Truly you are the Queen of cliffhangers! xD

"I been needin' somethin' all day. Can't wait no longer," he murmured, his voice low and raspy as he pinned her still by the piercing look in his eyes.

She swallowed, unconsciously wetting her lips, striving to remember to breathe as she gazed up at him, her hands rising to rest against his chest.

"What...do you need?" she whispered, her breath catching as his lips slowly formed a sensuous smile.

"This," he almost growled as he slowly descended, his lips touching hers briefly, instantly igniting the passion that always hovered just below the surface. A tiny sound escaped her throat as she instantly melted into him, surrendering her mouth to his loving onslaught as he immediately deepened the kiss. Her hands lovingly grasped his sides as his fingers moved to tangle themselves in her hair. Each one emitted a sigh of relief as their pent up longing was, at least in part, satisfied.

YAY! After some kiss void chapters, this is SOOO good. :)

Poor Sully, good thing his Heartsong is a doctor! ;)
drindrinadri 5/17/13 . chapter 47
Oh, my poor Sully! It takes a great courage to make such a confession to the woman you love running the risk of losing her.

Michaela has a big heart though, and I'm sure she will forgive you.

However there is a thing I just can't stand it anymore: would you stop disappearing every time you encounter a difficulty in life? LOL!

Another beautiful chapter, great writer!

"Then it became clear. The five shooting stars are months, and the two flocks coming together as one is your union, numbering twenty days in that month. I knew that the spirits had given me a message for you, my brother," he ended, meeting Sully's eyes. Great idea!

Finally! Alone at last!

Indeed, the 'lovebirds' would have been extremely embarrassed to know that Hank had a running bet going with his regulars that the enamored couple would never wait out the full six months – although his bet had more to do with their physical relationship than their state of matrimony. Har har har! And what is Sully hauling home that's SO important? Kay

Can't wait for the wedding. Loved the vision. I always wondered why they didn't explain that in the show better. :)
Snowbird forever 5/17/13 . chapter 49
Oh, what a chapter! I loved it! Where to start? Okay, first of all, I loved Cloud Dancing's vision! It makes sense, plus it warmed my heart that there was also another vision before his and Snowbird's joining! They are such good friend to both Dr. Mike and Sully, their friendship was so amazing, real and rare and you managed to write it just like that in your story as well!

"As soon as they came back from the reservation, Michaela wired the date to both her mother and eldest sister Rebecca. The former replied enthusiastically that she would be there without fail… however, the date happened to be set in the middle of the annual flower show, of which Elizabeth was the director, and she rather tersely sent her regrets."

Hang on, if I understood this right, Elizabeth will actually MISS her own daughter's wedding because of some stupid floral shower?! Has that woman gone insane?! How can she be so cruel and just think of her position in society?!

"More and more people began to see Michaela as their physician and to trust her opinion on various topics. Horace especially seemed to seek out her advice, or come down with some ailment or accidental injury, on almost a daily basis."

Hahahahahaha, this had me giggling badly! :)))))) Horace was indeed like this, he was the regular patient to Dr. Mike, always something, poor thing! xD

"Daniel decided to settle down in Colorado Springs and work on his plans for the eventual building of the hospital. In spite of the fact that he first came up with the idea as a way to garner Michaela's attention, he soon came to realize it was a much-needed entity, and even perhaps his 'calling' in life. He did, however, wish for Marjorie's knowledgeable input, and deep in his heart he still harbored a dream that had a lot to do with the fiery redhead."

I am so glad that Daniel decided to stay and carry on with helping Michaela with the hospital. Okay, he did started ti because he wanted to win her heart, but now, when he knows that she loves Sully, it shows a lot what kid of a man is Daniel. he understand that people actually do need a hospital. It is wonderful! And he is still thinking of Marjorie, hooray! :)

"His heart swelled with love and pride as he noticed other men surreptitiously stealing glances at the lovely lady doc."

I loved this line. He isn't jealous which shows how true his love and faith for Mike is. Jealousy is a horrible thing. This is heartwarming, he realizes that Michaela loves him and only him, so others can glance at her as much as they want to - she is his heartsong. Nobody else's. Oooohhh, that kiss was written beautifully, well done! Hahahahahahahaha, I knew it, I just KNEW it that hank won't be able to stop himself! he had to place a bet! xD

"Daniel departed for Boston on the same stage, with the excuse of contacting architects about the building of the new hospital – but Michaela and Sully both suspected that he would at some point find his way to a particular mansion in Beacon Hill, to visit a certain redhead. Michaela almost wished she could be there to see the historic event."

I WANNA BE THEIR TOO! :))) To see the look on Marjorie's face, to hear expression on Elizabeth's face (LOL!), to hear what will Daniel say... contacting architect? What an excuse! :))))))) This will be historic, that's true! :))

I am glad Michaela doesn't hide anything from Sully. It is horrible how her Mother's behaviour actually kills her happiness. I wish that Elizabeth could see how miserable Michaela feels every time she sends this kind of letter. Can we have Marjorie fighting with Elizabeth about it? pretty please with cherry on the top? *puppy eyes and angelic grin* :)))))

As she closed her eyes to silently pray for his safety, she felt Brian's little hand slide into hers. She opened her eyes to find the child gazing up at her. With childlike wisdom and pure faith in his hero, he murmured, "Don't worry, Dr. Mike. Sully'll be okay. You'll see. He can do anything."

Aaaawww, I love this, so cute and so much like Brian! For him, Sully could really do anything. I loved how you portrayed Michaela's love for Brian and Charlotte is still there, their friendship is so strong, I love the fact that Charlotte is alive in your story!

Oh, no...Sully will get caught in the blizzard! What was it that he took out from the wagon? Three days till Monday...three days never seemed so long! Marvelous writing, Linda! I can't WAIT for the next chapter!
drindrinadri 5/16/13 . chapter 46
What a surprise was Marjorie! Her stratagem has been extremely successful!
I really appreciate her sacrifice: to a woman so refined and very prone to personal hygiene, must not have been easy to be embraced by a soldier filthy and sweaty stinking! LOL

Sully run another big risk: Linda, is not time that our two beloved will settle down and begin their life together?LOL!

Great job!
drindrinadri 5/15/13 . chapter 45
Great teaching of loyalty and friendship in this chapter! Happy to see that Daniel has not turned his back to Sully despite having lost the woman he loved.

Blue Hawk's expedient is simply amazing: Awww... Sully's awesome blue eyes standing out even more on his face painted black...Love it!
KaysKitty 5/14/13 . chapter 48
An hour after they had entered the church, the couple exited the front door hand in hand. Sully paused a minute on the porch, breathing in deeply. Gazing around, it occurred to him that everything within his field of vision seemed brighter, clearer, and he felt more alive than he had in years. The lifting of the heavy burden had energized his very soul.

She smiled and shook her head. "No Sully – my life is here now, and here is where we'll begin our life together. If Mother can't understand that, well..." she paused, glancing at Marjorie and offering a tiny shrug. "C'est la vie."

A lot of pain, hurt and angst gone for Sully, now! ;) lol Wedding plans are on for Colorado Springs! Yippee! Aaaahhhhh Great chapter! Kay

sissy 5/14/13 . chapter 48
i loved your story from chapter 1 thru chapter 48. hope it didn't end there.
Stetsonfan 5/14/13 . chapter 48
Oh poor Sully. My heart went out to him. Marjorie needs to keep her big mouth closed.
drindrinadri 5/14/13 . chapter 44
Indeed un unpleasant person the Colonel !

Love how Charlotte and Marjorie attempt to support Michaela against his murderous ideas!

And Sully...where is him? Once again Michaela has lost him and once again you left your readers agonizing with the cliffhanger...! LOL!

Great job!
selma lopes 5/13/13 . chapter 48
Don't wait to read about the wedding, just can't help but think of what different and exciting you will add to the couple, I love how you are driving the story up here.
Snowbird forever 5/13/13 . chapter 48
:))))))))))))

Big grin on my face now! What a lovely chapter!

"You need to forgive yourself." - Exactly! I am so glad that she took him to the church. It always helps to pray and search help from God. I loved how you had Sully taking in a deep breath after leaving the church; that shows how relieved he feels. He regrets what he did. O'Connor doesn't, in fact, he is proudly talking about it - that's a HUGE difference!

Tilting her head in a haughty pose, she added, "For the most part, Michaela, even the best of men cannot be trusted."

At this, Daniel grinned and cocked his head to one side, holding Marjorie's gaze when she cast it his way. "Now, Miss Marjorie, maybe you just ain't met the right man yet."

She shrugged and determinedly looked away. "There is no such man."

Ooooohhhh, I can already sense that Daniel will show her that she is wrong about it! *fingers crossed* :))

I loved how Mike mentioned their Dad and how Marjorie agreed.

In the end, I am with Sully; it doesn't matter where will they get married as long as they are getting married. But I am also with Mike; if they leave for Boston, nobody will be able to attend their wedding, who could afford such trip? I just hope that Rebecca will knock some sense in Elizabeth when they hear the news! :)) I am sooo looking forward to the next chapter and am glad that I am caught up with this story! Brilliant writing, Linda! I applaud to you!
