Woah Great fic!

Read this and the previous one...I'm only just getting into HP fanfic so thats why its taken me so long...as for your Gollum idea, i think it does work in this story and very well.

I liked it overall, tells the events nicely, but all of the info in this story could be taken practically from the book, and required little creativity to compile. I have one sort of petty complaint; Madam Hooch has the 'flyaway hair,' not Pomfrey.
The Lord of the Rings connection is good, exept I think that the cercumstances were vastly different and the connection would be hard to make without the bit at the end.
It was good though, in my opinion.

Yes, I do read The Lord of The Rings and the complexity of Gollum psyche and his motivations are very fascinating. You have done a splendid job here. Too bad isn't it, that in OOTP we found James and Sirius so much different than th image we might have treasured after reading SS and PoA?

This is the first story I truly enjoyed reading. No dirty word or manner and no rude action by characters, which can destroy the good mood of a reader, and it's really great. The conversation style used in story make me guess that you are a native English speaker; if not so, it's another good point for you, dear. :)
Your description of place and character is good; I suppose adding some more explanation will give a better taste to story. I don't mean it like Russian literature; 3 page passes on description of a garden where a the protagonist of story is going to pass once in whole story, some description of Severus manner or the gloomy feeling in night will act like some spice. And I think if you show the hatred of toward as his inner voice or his thoughts it will be good.(just a suggestion).
I f you wish to write a love story about Snape, i have an idea but no time to write it as beautiful as you do. And if you wished for a story containing vampires I guess I can be help full. Wishing you the best and success both in life and your career.

I liked this fic a lot! Although I must say that I envisioned Snape being beaten within an inch of his life by the Whomping Willow. But your interpretation, with Snape also rescuing Potter, was intriguing. But why didn't Snape remember that part, when he was wallowing in self-doubt at the end?

Also, I'm fairly certain that when you wrote 'Black glared impotently at him,' you meant to say 'insolently,' because 'impotently' connotes sterility or erectile dysfunction.

Other than that, it's a very interesting story.
