Great first chapter

I love Hathaway's clever (devious?) write-your-own-reprimand plan! I'm a bit worried about what the kid's going to get up to now, though!

This is very well-written, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Hooper is a character I wish we'd seen in more than one episode, and I have wondered how his relationship with Hathaway might change after "Dead of Winter". I think the mostly-polite understanding between the two of them that you're showing is very believable, and I like the subtle messages between them in looks and tones of voice.

And the unfortunate Mr. Jones... I really can't wait to see what you do with him and Hathaway. I almost hope he'll be stupid enough to flaunt his degree from the University of Wessex. *evil chuckle*
