Owlkin 5/10/13 . chapter 15Oh I like this . . . I've never been able to dislike Sean in the series, even when he was being sneaky. I'd love it if they really were brothers. Please update soon! |
Kit Thespian 5/9/13 . chapter 15Ooh, this is intriguing. It reminds me of the little subplot in "The Sixth Sense". So cool to see Renard and Nick working together. Of course, I should have known something was up when Renard was thinking how attractive she was. But it didn't occur to me until Nick said something and I was like, "Yeah, Renard wouldn't let himself get distracted like that without a reason." |
Red 5/7/13 . chapter 15 Great story so far! I can't wait until you update next! One thing though, you need to add 'the' in the sentence "I'll need you to follow my instructions down to (the) letter." as it is missing |
Sen2TOS9 5/5/13 . chapter 15This was epic! |
Hotaru Muraki 5/5/13 . chapter 15Wow... What an intense chapter! Especially the idea of them getting closer over a case of (child) abuse. No, really, since Renard was in that place when he was a child himself and Nick, well, I think he has a strong sense of justice as well as compassion. (Hey, he even managed to convince an older, more experienced person into doing what's right!) Your description of both Renard and Nick seems so...vivid, it's really very interesting to read. Even the minor characters are well thought out and convincing. |
D Squirrel 5/4/13 . chapter 15Renard and Nick working together! I love Renard worrying about disappointing him |
kirallie 5/4/13 . chapter 15So what is Renards plan? |
DarkDamson 5/4/13 . chapter 15I love the idea of Nick and Renard being brothers. It's so perfect. Love young, perceptive Nick and scheming big brother Renard starting to work together. Great story. Can't wait for the next chapter. |
PP-PhantomPhoenix 5/3/13 . chapter 15Ok, first off, been reading this for a while, and I really like that Renard's 'not' the evil guy. His character is so complex and fascinating. While I like that he's not as bad as I was expecting (dreading) on the show...it seems more like an alliance of necessity, not because they have any trust in each other. So it's nice that the 'brother' element is mixing things up a bit. Second, I 'love' that last bit. Where Renard sees a bit of himself in Nick. It's the first time I really got the feeling that he does want his brother's trust. Up til now...while he has made sure to protect Nick...it was almost as though it was because Nick was a link to Kelly, rather than because of Nick himself (hope that makes sense). Can't wait for the next chapter. :) |
umino-gaara 4/26/13 . chapter 14I think it would be cool if Kelly let Sean name his baby brother. |
DarkDamson 4/18/13 . chapter 14Loving this. I can totally see Sean as Nick's big brother that he doesn't know about. I got all teary eyed in this chapter. Well done. |
Katieisnotinteresting 4/13/13 . chapter 14Do you hear that? It's the sound of my heart breaking into a million pieces |
LittleBounce 4/12/13 . chapter 5Brilliant subtext throughout. Would love to see the subtitled version of this scene, with nick wondering what the hell got into his aunt, lol. Ok, I plan to review more, will come back later to enjoy some of this awesome story! I'm just really sorry I discovered it so far in. I must have been completely blind or distracted, or something. I'm sorry! |
LittleBounce 4/12/13 . chapter 4To be honest, I was a bit sceptical in the beginning about your warnings of chronological skips, but they work so, so well! A lesson for me to keep an open mind from the beginning, I think. You're so, so good at building suspense on the back of this technique. And again, brilliant back and forth with Sean and Marie. You just write their interactions superbly. I particularly love the moment where their relations return to the usual hostile state and it's a profound relief a,l round! |
LittleBounce 4/12/13 . chapter 3I love the way you portray Sean so young... Composed, but still a child. And it's great to see the beginnings of Kelly, too. I thought it a generous move to save Sean's dignity from the snidy Eric. I hope he gets his butt kicked in training! |
