What a great story. I can't wait to read more.

Ha-ha,so they are now matchmakers, of a kind, so to speak? I find it a nice touch that Rhaegar is engaged in something so personal when before, he strayed from people in general, by his own choice. I have the feeling that this might be the thing that might make Elia closer to him - she does care for people in their own roght while Rhaegar always felt awkward, delving into the realm of personal.

Good job. I'm waiting for the next chapter!

I must this is the best "Rhaegar defeats Robert" fanfic I've ever read. It's realistic and thought-out wit many interesting sub-plots and developments.
I especially like the friendship between Ellia and Jaime thanks to their experiences under Aerys and Rhaegar's jealousy. I also like Staniss' marriage with Ashara and how she's trying to make him less serious; I hope she partially succeeds.
The only criticism I have is that you shoul name the chapters. While we (the readers) can read their names in the previous chapters it would be better if you would put their names in the scroll list as well.

Oh my, I hope your story will hold a different future for Lysa - hopefully, one with living children and no Littlefinger in it! I think my favourite part of this chapter was Jon Arryn's inner monologue. He does have a voice that fascinated me, so wise and realistic, and reconciled to his fate. I hope he and Lysa will learn to get along.

And Ashara is right, she and Stannis make quite the couple. And Renly is still Renly, capable to fascinate all. I almost expected he'd start presenting his new friends with peaches.

Rhaegar still has some trouble realizing that he has to be both brother and father to his siblings, doesn't he? He's fighting so valiantly not to realize it. And I thought his unease and looking for ill-intended hints on Elia's part sounded quite real. Happens all the time with those who feel guilty.

I am really enjoyig this. Update soon!

My, my, do we have some belated remorse here? Too bad Rhaegar wasn't this enlightened before he went and made a mull out of it. And he still isn't much better, is he? Really, sending Jon away because he thinks it'll help his conscience? Poor Elia probably feels like a mother of six right now!

Romance, huh? Whose romance would it be?

UPDATE SOON! I can't wait for the next chapter! Will the romance be centered around Elia and Rhaegar? I don't know, but hope to find out soon :)

Huzza for Jon Arryn. It seems Rhaegar got more than he bargained for when he made him his Hand but well, SOMEONE had to enlighten the King that he had certain duties. Three cheers for Jon.

Poor Lysa. Since there is no Littlefinger around here, I hope she'll get used to her husband and he'll get used to her. She really got the short end of the stick when Hoster married her to Lord Arryn. I felt sorry for her when she didn't know how to react in the nursery.

And it was nice seeing Elia gotten used to Jon. He really wasn't the one to blame. I wonder, though, what does Rhaegar have against the Martells? Why doesn't he want Viserys to marry Arianne one day?

Hey, this editing of yours makes reviewing harder. It's Ramzes here, just so you know.
IceQueen69 3/19/13 . chapter 12
Ah and now we once again start the game of thrones as people start making plans to grab a piece of the power. Was nice to see a bit into Elia's head again. It is also nice that she has grown fond of Jon a bit now and considers him a much her child as her other 2 and does not seem to or does not want to bear Lyanna any significant ill will although I can't wait for someone to finally ask her the question as to what she feels towards the girl. Relations with the north still seem to be strained as expected and I hope we will still get to see the progression of Ashara and Stannis's relationship. I have always felt that Lysa really got shafted in canon, but it is worse here since the whole point of her Marriage to the much much MUCH older Jon Arryn was to gain troops to win the war and now that all seems to have been a waste and she is now in a place that houses people who not too long ago were her enemies as well.

The Tyrells have always rustled my jimmies but they are a step up from the Lannisters in that while they are just as manipulative and scheming, they don't enjoy cruelty and the people they use as pawns usually come out unscathed and at times in better positions(I.E when they tried to use Sansa due to her inheritance to the north but the scheme would have allowed her to go to be sent away from Joffrey to Highgarden and marry someone who would treat her right, but then again they did kick her to the curb once the Lannister's married her to Tyrion first).

Also loved the talking to Jon gave to Rhaegar and now the man seems to be ready to do his duty properly.

keep up the good work
Ramzes 3/1/13 . chapter 13
Normality? There can't be such a thing.

Rhaegar is quite lacking in social skills, isn't he? I suppose that's the problem of being a bookish type - they look haughty while, in fact, they just don't know how to interact. Not a good thing for a king. I suppose Elia will have to be the one who'll have to do the interaction for both of them.

I loved Doran's little strike on Tywin's pride! Really, the man should have known better than being rude to a snake. Snakes do bite.

A good job on the details of the weddings. I suppose Elia will feel a bit lonely now without Ashara. I am eager to see how both marriages will work out. I hope you'll have the time to start working on the new chapter soon.
Aishanirocks 2/28/13 . chapter 13
hey great chapter, i like how you manage to put two weddings in to one chapter:)
Moonlit Wave 2/12/13 . chapter 12
oh, a lot of POVs. Good chapter. Loved Ashara/Stannis part.
Kadajclone100 2/10/13 . chapter 12
I enjoyed the talk between the Martell brothers, It was harsh but honest and really, what brother would not be pissed if their was a slight against their sister? and ya got to feel for Arthur, his vows really screw him over. Although had Ned caught the better part of there conversation or managed to gleam some of Arthur's thoughts about Lyanna...hoooooo boy. He didn't strike Elia because

1. she is a woman

2 she is his queen

If he caught wind of this talk, my god he would have gone Direwolf on some asses. Both Rhaegar and Lyanna screwed the pooch bad but I doubt Ned would take any more insults to her name. Every man has his limits. I am also finding myself liking Ashara more and more, she understands at least that the Starks and Baratheons were in between a rock and a hard place and is not going to hold anything over Stannis's head and i thought it was adorable that Renly wanted to learn how to use Robert's weapon of choice and Stannis showing a soft side.
Samyo 2/9/13 . chapter 12
So happy you updated! And I support this Stannis ship fully :)
Ramzes 2/9/13 . chapter 12
Wow! My favourite part of this chapter was the explanation why Rhaegar couldn't find a Septon nearby, I think. But then, that's what he deserves for the sheer stupidity of taking Lyanna to Dorne. And using her as a pawn was a very astute movement on Aerys' part. And Rhaegar was being an idiot but that's not exactly news, is it?

I liked the little glimpse into Ashara and Stannis' developing relationship. All in all, good job! I can't wait to see the too many relatives.
Ramzes 1/27/13 . chapter 11
Ha! Aerys is, indeed, causing trouble yet. And Rhaegar is still comprehending just how much of disaster he left behind to fulfil a prophecy in thr Tower of Joy. I quite like the idea of those left behind teaming up to survive... and Rhaegar is not included.

I can't wait for the next chapter.
