At first though, I thought this was a funny fic what with Hiko's arrogance, but this seems to be one of a kind with its seriousness and the relations between Kenshin and Hiko. I'll be back to read more tommorow, this is very cool so far. See ya later.

You should put another epilogue in that tells what happens when Kenshin gets back to the dojo! That would be so cool!

EXCELLENT story. I loved every chapter of this! You've mastered the descriptive phrase (loved the line: Scmidt was a cold man with all the personality of a town gibbet). You really nailed the personaities of Kenshin, Hiko, and Saitoh. That scene where Hiko picks up poor, battered unconscious Kenshin and carries him home, while plastering an irritated expression on his face even though no one was around to see it was so quintessentially Hiko. It was wonderful to see Kenshin hold his own with his sly/innocent comebacks too. "Does this mean you'll be coming to visit" had me hooting with laughter. I adored the epilogue too. How typical of Kenshin to make sure Saitoh wouldn't pursue the matter, and how in character of Saitoh to dismiss the assault/death of foreignors as "I doubt any embassy in the world will want to claim such obvious incompetents as citizens, much less make any protests about their deaths." Great writing!

That was so good! The best fanfics I've read are those where everyone remains in character. Your fic is a very well written piece describing Kenshin and Hiko's relationship so believably. I enjoyed every word of it. Excellent work!

You stories have the best Hiko ever! FFnet stories are kinda like musicals... and when I read your stories I get that high feeling when the perfect singer gets the lead... like when Crawford is singing the Phantom's part in Phantom of the Opera or when Uwe Kroeger sings Death's part in Elisabeth... anyway, if this makes no sense at all to you, I just want to say Bravo! (and possibly encore?)

Great story. I often find that Hiko gets done too broadly. You found a nice balance in their relationship and a way to show off there strengths as well as there vulnerabilities. Plus, frankly it was a lot of fun to let Kenshin have at it without all the angst! I thought the Epilogue was an added bonus, getting Saito into the mix.

*laughs hysterically* This was good! Normally I'm not a fan of Hiko, but I do like how you potrayed him in this fic. "Demented squirrel" indeed.

I had a bit of trouble figureing out who was what- you do realize that all of your bad guys have names starting with "s"? I'm not too bad when it comes to names, but Schmidt, Smith, Spencer, and the other one (two?) started to run together. I liked Smith's "stupidity".

I really liked how Himura was having fun with his pranks. There were several descriptions that I cracked up over, they were so good.

Yet another example of a fic that I put off reading and put off reading, because I didn't think it'd be good. Then, since it was on so many favorites lists, I decided to give it a shot. Argh! What took me so long? Baka baka baka!

I really like this, and shall read it many times. Doomo Arigatoo gozaimasu!

I loved this piece- very well-planned plot (yayness!), awesome action sequences, plenty of humor, incredible writing, and not to mention that it explores the relationship of Hiko and Kenshin (there just aren't enough stories out there that do this!). Excellent work! I'll definitely be back to check out your one-shots and a few of your other stories! _
