I really liked it! I like when not everything is voiced out, and when the reader - as well as the characters themselves - have to understand at times what has not been said. This mentioned, I appreciate a lot how you have Gimli and Legolas get along so well and with so few words.

Even though this one-shot is short there's a lovely atmosphere of friendship to it; and yet at the same time it is also ladden with sadness and with apprehension. It makes for a very interesting mixture that I definitely enjoyed to read.

Honestly I don't really know what to think of this.
Understand me : I loved it. I like it. Even though I had to read sometimes twice to understand. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm not a native speaker.

Still, I think the way you write is great : I understand why you just write what you need to write without adding anything unnecessary. Doing so gives me writers block too. And besides, you don't need to try to add anything, 'cause your writing is just fine as it is now, don't change it !
