You have my completely and utterly speechless (yes, I have been reading my sister's books and picking up ten year old phrases- completely and utterly being my current favourite)

I love how you've left the flashback without any capital letters; that's yet another of your epically awesome (I said I was picking up ten-year-old phrases!) techniques that works so well and really contributes to distinguishing it from the current text.

The little insides in brackets were a nice little background chanting as a way to make you feel more spooked (like Anna) and you did have her and Alan wonderfully in character.

The fact she can't sleep without being haunted by him was sad but is probably how I'd be if I was in her situation.

I loved tour standalone lines- 'The nightmare's over' one; the 'when she falls asleep' one and my favourite, the final line- the way it's in brackets and italics and just so powerful. All your last lines are powerful and leave me shocked.

I haven't read this book in ages but now you've made me want to read it again! Another amazing fic!
