Wow at first I thought that I really didn't like this story but now it's got to be one of my absolute favorites! You've paced the story so perfectly with just the right amount of interesting plot points dropped into each chapter. I hope you keep going! Get through that block of yours!

What...Maka's Mom (To which no one can fucking decide her god damn name) is dead

I had a feeling something like that was going to happen with Ruth. The dynamic you've got going between her and Maka is neat. It's apparent that when Maka gets angry at Ruth for the old lady's harsh, snap judgments of Liz, she is seeing something in Ruth that reminds her of a part of herself she hates, maybe even subconsciously (I dunno, you're the author) - the part that started off with a cruel judgment of Soul. I am inclined to say that while I see characters as psychologically complex (because they are human), rarely do I see them written in a way that does justice to that complexity. You've done it, though. That's only one example, but I think it's my favorite so far. I hope Maka and Ruth can learn from each other. Someday.

Obviously, I need to gush about the not-a-dance-scene because it was something I will gleefully never ever forget. Maka's stammering felt very genuine to me the way you wrote it (I don't see it looking that genuine in every fic out there). Also, damn, Soul, you sweetheart.

I've been enjoying this immensely and you are an amazing author.

When I saw this update it literally made my week. I love this story and I hope you continue updating :D.

Sorry 'bout not reviewing earlier, I mean to but I get caught up in the chapter and forget. I love this story though! The southern accent in the writing reminds me of when I lived in GA. This story gives me soooo many feels, like, ugh. Are you gonna repair the damage you've done to my heart? :P

PS: another chapter or, like, ten would fix it nicely. ;)
