Awwwww, I love the idea of Collins as such a father-figure to Maureen and doing the questioning for Joanne :) Shows that he really cares about her because he's not doing it in the stereotypical way, but he's being kind and serious about it.

I swear, those two girls are just too adorable :3

Damn... I'm usually good at holding back my tears, even when reading a really sad fanfiction. But I couldn't help it this time- by the time Joanne was finished talking to April I was in tears and I still am :') It was so heartbreakingly beautiful and you're just too amazing and I can't even because I'm crying.

Aha, finally! A fellow Chess fan! I hate how no one ever seems to know about it, even those who consider themselves musical theater experts!

Anyway, great story so far :) I just started it last night after watching Rent again and I really love your interpretation of the characters. It sucks that it's on hiatus, but I'm still in love with your writing (I read your other Rent stories too and loved them!) and can't wait until you start this again. And are you planning on posting your Chess fanfiction? I'd love to read it. There isn't a single one on this website :/

(Also, I'm planning a Chess one-shot and would love someone to beta read it for me, maybe when I finish it I could get your opinion?)

I thought I'd find it hard to get back into the fabric of the story after such a wait, but no. It was easy :)
Still liking the slow, relaxed pace of things, and the fact that everyone seems happy in each other's company. The image of Maureen patting over Joanne's entire face was quite funny.

Oh, dear. Sometimes I think Maureen needs to be taken by the shoulders and given a very good talking-to...preferably by Collins or someone authoritative. Interesting chapter, the ending may not have been a deliberate cliffhanger, but it certainly feels like one :)
A Collins POV-shift would be awesome, by the way, as you've done a good job of keeping him in character so far.
