Reviews for The Preacher's Wife

Such a nice story and I love its message. And I'm so glad that Julia left that bum. He's a tool.

"But there are other ways of getting paid—say, sexual favors from the owner of The Long Branch."
Holy Guacamole! And "fornicating" too? This Wright guy is going down in my book as one of the most evil villains in all of GS history, durnit. Unless he repents by the end of the story, that is... Or Matt chokes the life outta him...

so true in life!

Very nice story...tight concise plot and a real unexpected twist with Julia's act of courage. This line was very well done and really summed up your story: the saloon owner and the preacher's wife—two women who could not have come from more different places, but who had shared a common desire to change the courses of their lives, and the uncommon courage to do so. Thanks for sharing this with us!

What a well-written and refreshingly different piece of fan fic!

Thanks so much for thinking "outside the box."

Enjoyed this very much

Julia was right in telling her husband she was seeing someone, just not who. It was he who assumed it was male. Glad she is finally getting out on her own.
Glad things are right in the world for M/K again.
Nicely done, really enjoyed this one.

Love Doc worrying so much about the two people he cares about the most and very understanding that Kitty is unwilling to talk to him about it for the moment.
Willing to take bets the fight got started because he saw Julia coming out of the Long Branch. Going to the church for what ever reason certainly isn't going to help the Rev., any. Don't expect it to be a nice conversation, when Matt gets there.

Whoa...got to give Julia credit for going into the Long Branch knowing how her husband feels about such places. Glad she tore the sermon in half, got hurt in the process though. Leave it to the biddies to keep the gossip going, along with those mothers who think their daughters ought to be with the Marshall.
Perhaps the good Rev., needs to get some loving with his wife, the way M/K do. :D

Liked how Matt and Kitty came to be together from what seems to be Matt's pov. Nice apologie to Chester about his behavoir. Finally together and start of what may be an interesting conversation.
Guest 10/6/12 . chapter 3
Liked the part basically if the preacher didn't like the laws set down in Dodge deal with them or do something about them. The "saloon girls" comment did not go over well. Favors from Kitty as a way of paying Matt to keep the gambling, drinking and the girls in business. REALLY the preacher is nuts and going to make both their lives miserable. By the ending he has. On to more.
Guest 10/6/12 . chapter 2
Interesting conversation between Julia and Kitty. Sure the preacher would not be happy with the person his wife has been talking with. Considering the preacher wants the Marshall's help doing away with the business and the one person he's sleeping with.

Thank you, AR for a well-told tale of true friendship.

Glad Julia is safe and will be staying with her sister/family for awhile. Perhaps one day she will have what she sees M/K having. Nicely done, sorry to see it end in a way.
