Reviews for SI Archives Part 5: Back In The USSR
Guest 3/8/13 . chapter 8
OK, you are right, those loses in Einstein lab battle were quite hard... But there is one thing - who is better able to replace equipment? Allies or Soviets? And it seems that many Soviet commanders will be going bonkers due to Yuris tampering... By the way, was nuking of Chicago Vladimirs idea or was it done under Yuris thrall?

Now to the new stuff - it looks like SI is going to need some better anti-missiles so they can give Soviets a little payback for the Baltic, and maybe even a little payback for what happened later in the Arctic. Maybe something to counter Kirovs better too, those are pretty F-ed up.
At least there was a success in Caucasus and southern Europe...

Another nice part of the Archives, cant wait for your next piece.

buto22 2/25/13 . chapter 7
nice really intense battle the detail remind me of the first book/season in spain.
Nenfaer 2/24/13 . chapter 7
Its nice to see another effective slaughter of 20 Soviet divisons... But there is one question here - any approximate info about number of divisions soviets have?

I have noticed you mentioned TV-guidance of missiles from AA PAVs. Is that what I think it is - them being remote-controlled by someone IN the vehicle? Couldn't that be used by combat PAVs too? You know what I mean, hide, shoot the missiles and run while the guider leads them where they make the most damage, while the PAV itself is much harder target for enemy...

It's obvious that Hannah still haven't lost her tactical genius, it is also obvious that most Soviet commanders doesn't have any at all...

Thanks for another piece, can't wait to see another, no matter what it is for...

Nenfaer 1/30/13 . chapter 6
Oh... Sorry. Would you believe that I missed that this story was updated, with all those awesome chapters for Babylonia?

From what you say here, it looks like US class frigates as bigger than destroyers... There was never a question in my mind about destroyers being bigger than frigates and corvettes, if not SI ones of course...

Having launchers in such a vulnerable position can mean trouble if enemy can use it to their advantage.

You may be right about the possible range of 150 mm rockets compared to 122 mm ones, but I think its not just the diameter that influences the range, you can have 122 mm one longer, which could mean it can still carry same amount of fuel as the other. There is also the weight of explosive in the thing if you put half amount of four times stronger explosive, you still have more power with less weight and better range...
Just saying that diameter of rocket/missile is not the only thing that influences range.

I almost feel ashamed that I LOLed when I read about Carville assassination attempt, that was a pretty lame one IMO. Same with Hannah's musings about southerner general and sandwiches...

WOW! Mail order tank! I want one of those too! I could use it to get better parking, no one would dare to stop at MY space now!

You know, I was going to ask you for some nice SI paratrooper action, maybe show them surprise invading Vladivostok and kicking some Soviet ass there, but well, it looks like you are doing it already...

Great work again, as always.

i love this series this latest story in this series is great

your description of the ships is quite good
Nenfaer 1/25/13 . chapter 5
The Beacon situation in St. Louis was a nice way to get rid of some die-hard fanatics, which is always a good thing to do. Also you could use some fanatic survivors who got to think Yuri is god to 'spread the word' amongst other wackos of their type and get rid of most of the zealots in the area... But you will probably need them for later, for Santorum, no?

Other than that I liked the ending of the Yuctan mission, sending in Tanya with half a SI fleet to rip Soviets a new one.
You know, the way you made SI ships be able to hide from enemy radar just reminds a bit of a certain more advanced frigate...
Nenfaer 1/14/13 . chapter 4
Interesting that you are comparing cruisers with frigates... I'm not sure what ship type is larger - cruiser or destroyer, but it still seems that it again shows how everyone else is making 'bigger' ships weaker than SI.

Nice to see you stopped Soviets from nuking everything in their way and given them some improved ships, even if you sent them to the bottom of Pacific a 'few minutes' later.

Can't wait what you are going to do to commies next time.
Bruto22 1/14/13 . chapter 5
good action in this chapter.
i like how you get the naval guns for si they are sometimes better than missles ,

no point using missles at close range. also the bibel belt and not cleaning it out in total i like that touch.

i know alot of people in reviews have said shep is too godlike but this proves she isnt or alteast not a seer.
Bruto22 1/11/13 . chapter 4
nice looking forward to the heavey carriers also the A/N at end i think for a space ship ME are small... frigates are more like gunboats...or corvetts while the dread more of a battleship or battllecrusier .

cant wait for your alt ship. anychance of having a stealthship like a prowler that acts like a sub?
simply firing a fw anti cap missile and boom bybye dread lol then scoots off...(only need 1 to destroy but 2 or 3 to get threw point defence.
Just a Crazy-Man 1/11/13 . chapter 4
Oh no Yuri! Love the battle I was still expecting a all out attack on those Carriers.
Nenfaer 1/6/13 . chapter 3
Looks like Hannah is finally facing significant loses not caused by a nuke...
On one hand Chicago was a great loss for Soviets - destruction of the Amplifier and large amount of troops, on the other hand the nuke Gregorovich used destroyed large part of Allied experienced fighting force.
Looks like SI is lucky they can get recruits from more than just Canada and that people from their client states want to join...

By the way, how does an SI recruitment poster looks? Something like 'join us and slaughter a few thousands of idiotic soviets' with big picture of T-1965?
One more thing. How effective would the Bomarc missiles you mentioned in part 2 of the archives be against Kirovs? Even if they changed nuclear payload for a very effective modern explosive - it is more than 20 years since US tried to push them on Canadians - to prevent nuclear contamination. They or something similar should be quite heavy after all.
brax 12/31/12 . chapter 2
just been looking and google maps and wondering if crete or cyprus will ever join SI or maybe cypru join platstine during 1 the wars after being over run perhaps? or perhaps syria losing it's coast? not sure if you intend any more action there thou. but any chance you going to do Land reclemation? to expand seawards? i can see many SI owned island doubling in size over the years with that. altought i think with current tech it takes several years just to make a dockside.
