I've actually read the first one of these books... not that long ago, either. I need to find the rest of the series, but I agree, there are a loooooot of plot holes. My brother read it too and wondered 1. Why they hadn't already realized you could read it as letters (we both deciphered that pretty quickly), 2. How they hadn't discovered the hole before then, 3. How they had missed that you could actually DODGE the enemy (an old wartime strategy, so they ain't got no good excuses there), and 4. How in the **** they didn't try to fight back. Seriously? You're stuck for two years and people are dying and you try NOTHING? That seems pathetic. Anyway. Keep it up!
