MuggleCreator 4/14/13 . chapter 1Awww. Now I wanna know what happened to Louise too. Loved the touch of Lily Luna having the nickname "Lilyloo". |

Stephanie O 11/10/12 . chapter 1I like this little "outtake" from Strangers at Drakeshaugh. I think it would be cool if Harry somehow met Louise on the street sometime! Seriously. This was a sweet...well, bittersweet moment you shared about one of Harry's childhood memories. No wonder the note from school about Sports Day triggered those deep thoughts. I'd think those few childhood memories of adults & other kids being nice (& showing care & concern for him) are few & far between, so that would make those moments even more special. Will you be continuing this? I noticed it doesn't show "complete" yet. |
Athenais777 10/27/12 . chapter 1I really love how you describe this pair, make them look like a completely ordinary couple who puts their kids to bed, spend time together on he sofa and talk about scary childhood memories. There's a lot of comfort in This normality that feels so good. And at the same type, you manage to include this bittersweet memory from Harry's dreadful time with the Dursleys. It's uplifting to see Harry had a friend and that he did beat that oaf of a cousin, even if a little bit of accidental magic was involved. And it's a testament to the strength of Harry and Ginny's love that he can talk about it with her and that she still wants to defnd him in actually a very motherly way. As always, a perfect slice of life of the Potter couple. Well done. |
FriendofMolly 10/18/12 . chapter 1North, You are definitely one of the most creative writers I have read. The fact that you are writing multiple stories is just amazing. This story has an interesting line. It's not tough to imagine the scenes it could contain. One of the first things I imagined(while reading) was that while James is participating that some accidental Magic may occur. Harry beat him to it. As horrible as Harry was treated by all the Dursleys, thanks to you we see a time he was treated nicely. I look forward to what happens next. Thank you again FoM |
DukeBrymin 10/18/12 . chapter 1Beautifully poignant. Will there be more? Only you didn't mark it as complete. And I must say I've never heard it called a 'boob tube' before. Perfect description for what it really was. Can we see the scene at school where Ginny, dressed like that, picked up James? |
4everRavenclaw 10/14/12 . chapter 1 Ah, another fantastic story! I loved seeing into Harry's part and getting an insight into how Ginny feels about it. Keep updating! |
Guest 10/14/12 . chapter 1 I discovered your stories a few months ago and have been hooked ever since. I love the way you have managed to go 'beyond the war', keeping in canon, in character and also in an original way, without the cliches that may fanfiction authors seem to fall into. I love this story, it alludes to events in "Strangers at Drakeshaugh", which is my favourite of your stories. Please keep writing, I have noticed that you update about once a month recently. I look forward to next month! |
wrappedinharry 10/13/12 . chapter 1If only there had been more discerning adults like Mrs Parker around when Harry was a child, his lot in life might not have been as foul as it was. If enough people (especially those in authority) had spoken to the Dursleys about the obviously ill-treated child in their family, they may have been shamed into at least a semblance of outward normality...you know: dencent clothes that fit, glasses that weren't broken, a little more meat on Harry's bones. Of course, life at home would probably have been even more unbearable. Can't wait to see why James had Henry's note and why James conveniently forgot to give it to his parents. Thought you had dropped off the planet, it has been so long since you have given your loyal readers an offering. Loved the interaction between Harry and Ginny. Lesley |
