| Sllea 2002-07-27 ch 1, | abuseI *love* this continuation of your story. I've recently read through your CSI work posted here, and I am really fascinated with your take on these characters. I think that your G/S interactions are wonderful. I hope that you don't mind if I comment on the one thing that puzzled me a little. That was the physical blocking of the last part. Sara is spun away from the microscope, and Gil sits down in another chair - but far enough away that Sara can coast across the room to him a few lines later? I thought that it might be a little more effective if you included the physical distance between them in your narrative, because it puzzled me slightly. But the culmination at the end was very effective - the word "intimation" seemed perhaps a little odd, but not horribly so - and the emotion behind the scene was simply wonderful. In particular, this is a Gil Grissom that I can see transposed from the television series to the page. Thanks so much for sharing your work with us. Sllea |
| Meh 2002-07-20 ch 1, anon. | abuseWow. Just perfect. *This* is Sara and Grissom. You've captured them perfectly - and taken the characters in a direction that we've all wanted to see. Very elegant and polished writing. I liked it very much. |
| vigirl 2002-07-19 ch 1, | abuseWow, great story, theos! Really powerful vibiness, both in terms of what they say and the body language. I really like the way you worked in the physical stuff--Grissom kicking the chair, Sara kicking it back, her jumping up from the kiss, and him pinning her against the door...yowza. And bonus, actual insight from Grissom re: his "dilemma" about letting Sara in, and making himself vulnerable, and Sara's understanding of the urge to get "lost" in a lover, like in the song. Can't wait to see more from you! |
