Just - beautiful. Really beautiful.

Oh, my goddess! I read this a few months ago at Campfire Tales and I loved it, but I didn't have time to review. It has a creepy air to it - I know I found it at a DARKfic archive before - and it's sweet in a little bit of a twisted way.

Brilliant! Lyrically written prose, heart-wrenching content. I don't think anyone has captured Willow's mind-bending grief any better. Thank you!

Where has this story been hiding? It's fantastic. Moving, without being too heavy on the sadness, true to character, poetic, full of imagery... I could ramble on about everything I like all day. Truly exceptional.

I'm terrible when it comes to sending FB to authors but I just had to write and say that I've read this story many, many times and I'm still struck down by it. It gives me chills everytime and I've recommended it to countless people. It was just so beautiful, profound, eerie, and heartbreaking all in one. Wonderful, fabulous job! Really, I just cannot say enough about how awesome this story is. Keep up the great work.

Talk about unexpected repercussions: I read this story a week or so ago somewhere else, and I've been thinking about it and trying to find it ever since (and committing some serious Googlesearch weirdness). Finally, comes through. Yay.

The thing that's really stuck with me is the idea of the images fading and becoming distinct: as one part of her life solidifies, the other falls away. The 'focus' on colors and certain sounds in the narrative builds on this beautifully-interesting how the unreal can be more real (if that makes sense), for all of us as much as Willow, I guess. I also like the gentle tone of the story, it seems an appropriate way to show grief not as an overwhelming force, but more as a quiet, leeching presence. And that, of course, makes the terrible moments so much worse: it's always worse to hear something terrible in a quiet, measured tone of voice than it is to hear it shouted.

Gah. I'm so excited at finding this I don't think I'm making sense. Anyway, congratulations on an amazing story, and thank you.
