I loved your portrayal of Tarrant and Ciani's lessons - you write her very well and their relationship is incredibly believable - the idea that she would see more than he intended is also interesting - I was very suprised in the books at the idea that someone as private and prickly as Tarrant would ever share his memories with another person

Ahhh, I've melted into a puddle of satisfied-fangirl-goo. It was fun, getting a bit of the story from Ciani's viewpoint: this line in particular caught my eye. "It was an impossible and unfathomable situation…she had to fix this! The part of her that was female cried out for relationship meddling, neutrality be damned!" That had me rolling on the floor in gales of laughter: I could totally see her doing that. And Damien saving Gerald and having him restored to a mortal life at the same time... ah, pure delight.
